We both had the chicken katsu curry (subtotal of $14.50) on a Wednesday night. Our dishes had a good amount of chicken katsu, savory (but not spicy) curry, spice powder on the side, and garnishes (tempura flakes, green onions, and red ginger). Because of the amount of quality flavor and good pricing, I'd say that curry here is well worth trying out in Buena Park. We asked the waiter if the curry had peanuts, and he said that there were not. Ingredients here tasted great. The chicken katsu tasted tender. The curry was rich although leaning toward a soupy than a thick texture. It tasted savory with the right amount of sweetness when complemented with red ginger. The tempura flakes added just an extra slightly savory touch to the dish. I used all the spice powder, and it added a nice kick to the dish. Overall, the dish tasted amazing and became yet another reminder that you can't go wrong with katsu curry. I had no problem parking close to the front of the restaurant. Inside, I noticed that the restaurant looked clean with good lighting. For most of the time, we ate inside as the only patrons at one of a handful of tables. The waiter provided us water, and we looked at a contactless menu prior to ordering. It also had a good music volume level, thus adding to its relaxed ambience. After eating, a staff member you the check, and you pay in front.

I absolutely love this place!!! Whenever I'm in the area, this is my go-to place for food. Parking is super easy to find since there's a parking lot. I always get their chicken katsu with rice bowl and my partner gets the beef belly curry udon. The chicken katsu with rice is very flavorful and the curry is absolute perfection. It's a pretty big serving and I always have some leftover. The beef belly curry udon is also really yummy. The curry used in this dish is a little more soupy and liquid than for the rice. We also ask for extra pickled ginger and the servers are always so generous with it. This time, they gave us huge bowls of it since we were such a large party. Servers are really great and attentive. The space is very nice, modern, and clean! 10/10 would recommend!

Tried this place for the first time and thought it was a honestly good place to check out for anyone in the area! I love curry and katsu together and found it really delicious! They have different protein options as well such as tempura or pork belly so definitely getting that for next time~ worth a visit!!

The katsu and pork belly curry are very good. I also got a strawberry milk with honey. The service was helpful and I would eat here again.

Easy service, we were the only customers when we walked in for an early dinner around 5:30. The menu is a QR code on the table and the minimal menu helps pick out what we want easily. I ordered the Pork Belly Curry with Rice and Fried Egg add-on and it was great! I added the chili flakes that they offered which gave it a nice kick. Was a nice, comfy meal for a good Japanese curry craving.

I enjoyed the curry fries, katsu curry, and strawberry milk here. I do think that the curry at Rodeo 39 is better but this is definitely a close second. I would be interested in returning and having lunch here again. I did like that they offer curry udon, not a lot of places do.

This is my absolute favorite spot to get Japanese curry! I've tried both their pork belly, beef belly and katsu curry w/ rice before. My favorite is the pork belly or katsu depending on how I'm feeling. Their curry sauce is so creamy and flavorful (slightly on the sweeter side) with a small hint of spiciness, which I love! For the pork belly curry, they add some panko flakes, a little bit of the red pickled vegetable on the side and some green onion garnish on top which really adds to the flavors and textures of this dish. I usually dine-in and the dishes are roughly around $15 + tax & tip. The portions are pretty big imo (I might eat less than the average person though), I usually can only finish 60-70% before I get pretty full and I'll take the rest home. I usually try to get there early around the time that they open since the tables fill up pretty quickly especially on a weekend. I'd definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others!

Chicken katsu curry is really delicious. The chicken is lightly breaded and freshly fried. The chicken is very tender and moist (dark meat I believe). The curry is more liquidity than I'm used to but still packed with flavor. Overall first rate Japanese curry, which has been lacking since the Curry House disappeared.

I'm always looking for a new curry place, so we decided to check this place out. The curry was a little sweeter than expected, but a pinch of their spice mix put it in the perfect flavor profile, and the meats! The beef belly is sautéed to a perfect crunch, and the pork belly melts in your mouth! The katsu is usually the bar for curry, but beef and pork leapt over it here! Joe is amazing, and seems always ready to help! Will define coming back.

I love Katsu curry and Curryo Do does it well. The Pork Belly is fantastic. Service is great. Price is right. My go-to Japanese curry. Love it.

I always drove by this place but never tried it out until today and wished I tried it out sooner! The curry is very good! I like it a lot better than coco ichibanya and the menu isn't as complicated. Portions are also big and affordable. The chicken katsu was cooked perfect too, crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. The restaurant is clean and wasn't too crowded on the weekend either. Definitely give this place a chance as it can be overlooked by the Main Street!

Was sad when Curry house restaurants closed. Loved that place. Found this place which doesn't offer all the meals curry house did, but what they do offer is delicious. The flavor of their curry is spot on same as CH, but they also give you enough to enjoy the rice and protein of your choice. Pork belly was great, as was the tempura shrimp. I like the rice better than the udon noodles, but to each their own. One of my favorite sports now.
