The Restaurant Located in the top level of the Source. One of the more spacious and higher end restaurants at the Source. The place is classy and modern and as a family of four, we really enjoyed the ambiance. The Food My recommendation is to try at least one of their dim sum, we got the Pork Xiu Mai -- This was excellent and they had some chili sauce that complimented it nicely. This is a popular dish and we now know why! Another safe bet is the Char Siu Bao which came out perfect. This is our go to for the boys and their version was a winner. If you like fried rice, we recommend getting Char Siu Pork Fried Rice. Our boys are allergic to egg and dairy so we just made sure to request with no egg.. and the kitchen was more than accommodating. The Service Waiters are very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of input. Very helpful and accommodating. They even gave our 9 year old boys a special gift on our way out. They were very appreciative of us and it really showed. The Verdict This is one of a few Chinese restaurants here at the Source. They definitely can hang with the other restaurants here.. and I feel if their location was more accessible, this place would be poppin'! With that said, Fifty One is on the top level.. don't miss it. It's definitely worth a stop if you're craving legit Chinese food and dim sum. 4 Stars!

Good ambiance. Not enough choices from the menu. Pricier than other dim sum places in Rowland Heights. But Fifty One has outdoor sitting. Nice presentation.

I like their dimsum. The quality is much better than other dimsum I have had in the area. They put more attention to the details. Dimsum is also bigger portioned and have better ingredients. It takes awhile to bring the orders out, but Im okay with waiting because I can see they take the time to make the dishes nice and presentable.

Hubby says I only write nice reviews. He's wrong. I mostly write favorable reviews, but I'm not afraid to be brutally honest when I have received horrible food, service, or been taken advantage of. That said, I cannot give this place a negative star rating due to Yelp's metrics. I will give it one star only because the food was excellent and well prepared. I don't want the chef to suffer for the poor management. My generous sister sent us a Gift Voucher as a Christmas present. Since it was during the pandemic, Hubby and I are both elderly, and we do not live near Buena Park, we did not try to use it until yesterday. Upon placing our dim sum order, I showed the Gift Voucher to the waiter to indicate that we would be using it towards our bill. He looked dubiously at the paper, then took it to the manager to find out if we could use it. Granted, it was a copy that was mailed to us by my sister, because she lives in Virginia, not California, but it clearly had the dollar amount and the restaurant information. The waiter returned to say that the manager would not accept the voucher because it was expired! Apparently, he claimed that there was a 2nd page which noted an expiration date. I reminded the waiter that they were not open when we received the voucher, and I was not aware there was an expiration date. He replied that they have been open for the last 10 months. According to the listing on Yelp, they are currently only open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This is much reduced from their previous hours, so I would not consider them completely open. The waiter was visibly unhappy giving me the news, and I fault his manager for not having the guts to deny us to our faces. We stayed and ate our dim sum even though we could not use the gift voucher. The ice water was abysmal! It tasted like disinfectant. We planned on ordering a pot of hot tea anyways, but it took asking 3 different people before we finally got our tea. The tea cups are very thin, unlike typical Chinese tea cups that have thicker walls that do not burn your hands. We ordered a variety of dim sum, and spent WAY more than the face value of the unredeemable Gift Voucher. At the end of the meal, the waiter brought us a plate of mini jeen dui, compliments of the chef. It was very good. The food was the best thing about this place, but we left with a bad taste in our mouths because of how poorly (and short-sighted) the manager treated us.

Food was delicious... however service was slow. Not crowded just seemed certain tables git better service.

It was a super cute place quite but with some music we were seated very fast and the staff is very welcoming. We got the cucumber salad it was soo good! Recommend even got another bowl not a traditional salad though. We got meat vegetarian dumplings very good along with the sauce and vegetarian popstickers. Def recommend the dumplings and the sauce soo good as well. You're served water when ur seated and chopsticks with a little panda holder so cute. We also got a broth we got the vegetarian one. You can chose ur spice level the tomato and the spicy were good. My friend is vegetarian lol surprisingly had a lot of vegetarian options along with meat options don't find that too often. Our server was nice she didn't seem to know the menu though and couldn't explain/describe to us what the item on the menu were or what was in them. The sesame balls so good it's a dessert yum.The overall place was nice and clean along with the restroom but it was very very very !! Stinky.

A bit pricey but a pretty good hand made dim sum.I've always seen this restaurant vacant, and today was the first time I dined here. Their Beijing roast duck was a great value. And their black tea was a better grade tea than your typical Chinese restaurant teas that are served for free. One thing that I was taken aback was there are more Japanese liquor choices than Chinese. Not that I have anything against st Japanese liquor, but since it's a Chinese restaurant, I was expecting to try more Chinese.

Peking duck was so yummy! The meat was so soft and juicy. Not dry at all!Dim sum sampler was delish. Once you put dim sum in your mouth, literally you can taste rich flavor from the juice.Friendly service as well. Love this place!!

We have gone into The Source before and just got around to trying this place today. I had always walked by and was thoroughly impressed with the decor (exterior, interior, and even the details in each table). We got there at around 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon so we had no wait time at all. The servers were friendly and the menu was straight and to the point - a decent dimsum selection and some apps, entrees, veggie dishes, soups to choose from. I found that it was a great value for the amount of food we ordered. We ordered 5 dimsum plates (I only have 4 pictured because I devoured the first one when it arrived) and a plate of the combo per person (for only $13, it comes with Chinese kimchi, a chicken spring roll, your choice of protein or a mixture of the 3 options they have, steamed rice, and a sesame ball with red bean filling dessert). We came in hungry but left with even a to-go box in our hands. All of these items also only came up to $80. We would have been looking at over $100 plus tip for something like this at DTF for example. Definitely a must try in the area. We will be back for sure!

Today, I went to Fifty One Restaurant in Buena Park for dim sum. I had dim sum 4 times before and it was good. Today was not a good day. The vegetarian egg roll and potstickers were oily. Some one forgot to drain the excess oil. The chicken siu mai was one dimensional. Just I chunk of chicken stuff in noodle wrap. Need to add jicama and shiitake mushrooms to add texture. Har Gow skin was to thick and rubbery. Not enough shrimp inside. And the steamed BBQ pork bun had the wrong ratio of dough to filling. That made the BBQ pork bun dry. Of course none of the restaurants compare to my BBQ pork bun that is chew with a good amount of filling of BBQ lean tender pork, Maui onions, Shitake mushrooms and sauce. DJ's rating: 2.83/5.0. Would I come back? Yes, hopefully they will do a better job.

I'm not sure why this place only got a 3.5 star rating, but I really enjoyed the food, ambiance, service, and location of this restaurant. Not only was their food fresh and appealing, it was actually flavorful and delicious! I'd definitely eat here again. Thanks, Fifty One, for making our NYE meal fantastic!
