Nothing special on the menu, but you get what you pay for and it's worth the extra effort to figure out where to park with all the road construction going on outside. Harry's is a very good option for breakfast, and they are usually quite busy on the weekends, but last week we found that people have been staying away because of the limited access to their parking with the main street in front going through a repaving. There is a way to get to Harry's lot behind the bank, and that was how we were able to find a place to park. The service was ultra prompt with none of the usual waiting line to get a table. We had our breakfast in the blink of an eye. The staff is so friendly, you'll feel like this is you hometown diner where everyone knows you.

Update: I think people posted that this place is closed down now. The servers are very friendly here. They appear to remember their regulars. I saw how nice and thoughtful and attentive they were to their regular customers who are on the senior side. I was treated well also. The food is very average/basic. I think it is VERY good for older folks who tend to be sensitive to too much flavoring in their food. I only had a burger and fries. It was a good portion size since I was hungry and stopped by for lunch during errands. It was affordable also. They have a decent selection on the menu.

Went there once with my wife before going to the movie theater. Ended up being a bad experience. Food was mediocre, service was especially poor not to mention the waitress spilled a whole glass of ice water on my wife when she sent to set it on the table. We had to go home so she could change. Never went back again. This placed hasn't been good since the previous owner. A shame they couldn't stay in business but there are better placed in town to get a meal so we won't miss Harry's.

I've been a Burbank resident for a very long time love the reservation less place that used to be a deli then to a personal restaurant between Harry and his brother the 2 brothers ran it for a very long time until one passed in the other get sick and now the new people who own it may no longer have it it's sorry and sad to see that this place is no longer to be or possibly to be if anybody knows anything I'd love to find out thank you and have a good day.

I was saddened to find out Harry's Family Restaurant is now out of business. The food was average, but the staff and memories will forever be five stars. Thank you Harry's for all the wonderful memories. I will never forget hanging out with dates and friends after High School functions. Harry's was in Burbank for over 30 years.

I drove by yesterday and was heartbroken to see they have permanently closed. Always good food, great portions and atmosphere, super friendly service. You will be missed, Harry's!

So so sad to drive by and see the "For Lease" sign. I wish they put together a fundraiser to help sustain them until they could get government assistance. My thought and prayers go out to the staff, specifically the good amount of elderly staff they had well into the night. If they happen to put together a fundraiser to help the staff financially I will be happy to donate. My heart aches :(

R.I.P. - Harry's Harry's has been a landmark for many decades ... 1st built as Denny's, then later becoming Harry's. The food was very good. Not necessarily the best, but consistent. It was always the go-to spot for comfort food and late-night hunger. It was nice knowing regardless of the day or time, they were always open. In recent years though, Harry's had been having many problems, which sadly sped up the inevitable of its demise. The restaurant was sold within the last few years (I believe to people who worked there), but rather than innovating, they stayed the course which was already on the decline. The problems included: 1. Portions were too large. They could have easily cut 15% to help the profits and bottom line. 2. After more decades than I have been alive, they stopped the 24/7 schedule and cut their hours and began closing early (midnight on Fri/Sat). This ended one of the main selling points for the location. 3. Stopped lighting their outdoor lights and sign. Basically, at night they looked closed (which further led to #2). 4. The menu had too many items on it. You could have easily cut 20% of the menu and still had a great selection. 5. Too many daily specials. Restaurants typically have 1-2 specials - not 6-10. This (as well as #4) required carrying too large of an inventory of items in the kitchen, further killing profits. 6. Started charging an additional 3.5% for credit cards. This was an absolute nail in the coffin. When questioned about this when it first started, I was told that it came from the CC company. Everyone is doing it now. No restaurant does this! This just drove away what regulars were left. 7. Lack of late-night draw/appeal. With virtually no competition after hours (even Denny's closes at midnight), they should have had a dusk-to-dawn menu to bring in people when the clubs closed, high school games ended (Burbank High is only 1 block away), etc. Instead, nothing ever changed ... ever! When the virus hit and indoor dining closed, that was the last straw. There was no way to survive. It's a shame. Soups were great, they still had my favorite cheeseburger, shakes were first-rate - and now they are gone. The business was there if they had adapted. In-&-Out is packed until 1:30 am nightly, and this place had so much more to offer. They will be missed!

Great food, service, prices. All around great. Good parking and tons to choose from. Everything on the menu was great. Perfect diner experience with great late hours and drink specials as well!

I have been going to Harry's for over 30 years. It's a landmark diner in Burbank. Not real fancy but it gets the job done! I'm a little disappointed that they close at 10 during the week now and that they charge a fee for paying with a credit card but it hasn't stopped me yet! The key word is YET!

Worst customer service I've ever experience. First I ordered a Dr. Pepper and got a root beer. Ok not a huge deal. Then it took them more than 20 minutes to realize that we were ready to order. And even then the waitress walked to another table and completely ignored us. Long story short. First and last time I would ever come here.
