Visited for the first time today. The gentleman behind the counter couldn't have been nicer. He was super patient as we figured out our order and extremely accommodating. Our food came quickly and was really tasty. Great experience, definitely recommend.

The owner needs to claim this profile because I seriously never know when this place is open LOL I walking distance and have lived here for 2 years and I've only seen it open once.. I tried going one time because the hours on Google pretty much match the ones here.. it was closed. We'll see if I ever am able to try it so I can update this review!

Knocking down a star because the wife went on a Saturday at 6pm and they were closed. Their advertised hours on Yelp say they close at 9pm. I understand their door might say... till they run out of dough.... But Saturday at 6pm you're closed? How? Why? I don't want to see this place close but at the rate of people who say they never see this place open, whether they're out of business, and the fact that this place is hard to tell if they're open even when they're really open... with the random hours... I hope they improve at marketing because I dont see them lasting a year at this rate. Unfortunate.

Great Calzones! Really good and packed with everything. The meatball sandwiches are just as good. Totally recommend them! Nice staff and chef. They actually listen to you!

Well, I don't like to leave bad reviews for a poor single experience, but this encounter was exceptional. I've driven past this place for years going to and from work, and decided to stop in after my physical at my doctor down the street. I had fasted before my physical and was pretty hungry. I stop inside, very clean and tidy, with stools and a counter to eat at. A very nice woman behind the counter is friendly and cheery. Display case showed a decent variety of not so tasty looking pies. Rounds and a Sicilian. I was alone, and there were no other customers in the store at 2:30 on a Friday near Bob's. I assumed it was the end of lunch pizzas. I ordered a pepperoni triangle and a meat lovers square. The woman behind the counter puts them in the oven as another customer comes in. I pay and she takes his order. He had a few questions about the pies, and decides on a couple of sausage pieces and a Hawaiian square. Another customer comes in. She puts the second order in the oven, and starts to go over the remaining pie selection with the third customer. She checks the food in the oven and then gets the last order together and puts it in the oven. Then she walks back and forth from the boxes to the oven(2 or 3 steps) a few times, before getting the boxes ready. She mentions to herself that they are running out of pizzas. Okay. She loads up two slices in a box and hands them to me. Thanking me for coming in. I walk out to go look at cars at Bob's and open the box. It's the sausage pizza slices from the other order. No big deal, I turn around and head back in. I tell the woman behind the counter that I had the wrong slices. She realizes a mistake was made and apologizes. But now the pieces are ready to be taken from the oven and she's in the middle of putting together the order after mine. She takes the two slices back from me and gives them, with the Hawaiian to the appropriate customer. But first she had to remove his Hawaiian from my actual two slices. I see the cheese and toppings are pulled off and messed up on my pieces. She says she will fix it and begins to give out the food to customer #3. I decide I've had enough. She apologizes profusely, and I tell her to just give me my money back. She doesn't know how to do a return on the register and offers me cash. I had to repeat what I had ordered 3 times. I took it and left. A little bit of organization and I would have been more sympathetic, but without having an order system in place when you have 3 customers pies going in and out of the oven, you are bound to have mixups. Maybe some better staff training and a way for customers and staff to know who gets what, rather than relying on someone's memory, would have made this a better experience. I will probably try them again, but not for the slices. They looked pretty old.

This place is literally always closed!!! They are never open when you need a quick bite. Haven't been able to actually try the food to see if it's any good! Smh

I have tried both the Greek salad and the eggplant parmigiana, both are great. Friendly service helps also.

DO NOT UNDERSTAND the lack of stars. First time here. Ordered the meatball sandwich at the counter (we called them a wedge where I come from) and it was excellent! Came in less than 6 min. Got extra sauce just in case, but it was not needed. Melted cheese and fluffy moist meatballs. Sauce is excellent as well. If that sauce is what they use on the pizza, it's gotta be good. It was also about a pound of food. Soooooo worth it!! From the slices I saw it looks like true east coast (except for the size). I will be back many times!! I suggest anyone in the "hood" go.

excellent cheese slice. Had two in the place hot out of the oven. I'm a big pizza fan from Brooklyn. And just to make it clear that I know from what I speak: Fave in L.A.: Appolonia, and now Slices, DeSano. Manhattan: Prince Street, Bleecker, Joe's, Artichoke. Yonkers: Totonos New Haven: Pepes Brooklyn: Totonnos, L and B, DeFaro, Ginos. underdogs: Smiling, LoDuca *and in Bklyn, we don't call squares Sicilian. We call them squares. Squares don't have anything to do with Sicily, from what I understand.

This was a weird place. I wanted to like it considering you can get a slice. The pizza wasn't fresh just heated up. The best thing I had was the garlic knots.

Small location with ALOT of flavor. I’m only here in Toluca Lake every now and then but I will be back to this spot! Had some garlic knots, the were nice and crispy. Had the meatball hero as well!! Definitely a delicious sandwich. Sauce was great, some spice, garlic and fresh. The meatballs were a decent size with good flavor and cheesy. The bread was FANTASTIC, over the top, crunchy, yet soft, with a nice flavor from the oven. Fresh as well and an all around super flavorful sandwich. Thanks, I will be back to try some SLICES next time!

So I just noticed this place or it is new. SLICES in Burbank where Alameda and Riverside meet. I wanted to like this pizza cause the lady behind the counter was so nice. The display was nice . The whole place is cool. I ordered a plain cheese and a Sicilian with pepperoni. She just called it a pepperoni. I don't think she knew the name Sicilian. Anyway stay away from the plain slice. It is doughy and crappy with a strange flavor. But the Sicilian was pretty good. The crust was perfect. The pepperoni perfect. The cheese and sauce still a little strange but I forgive . Also the garlic knots are crap.

Finally got a chance to try Slices after hearing of it multiple times. Got the meatball sandwich & lasagna. Both were outstanding. The meatball sandwich is incredible. Really delicious. The owner was super nice, very conversational.

I don’t get the good reviews on here. That is not pizza that I had.. it was toasted super thick bread with sauce and veggies on it. Reminded me of Jr High pizza. I also got wings that were not baked or fried.. they tasted as if they were boiled or put in the microwave and then sauce added.. bleh!! I cannot believe how bad this place is and that people with tastebuds eat here.
