This cafe is soooooooo good! It's a typical menu, but their food is so flavorful! Their potatoes are seasoned so well. My favorite is their oatmeal pancakes since I've never had oatmeal pancakes anywhere else... but here... Their service is amazing too. I got to-go for the first time since I usually like eating on site since it's located at Burlingame Ave and it's a good brunch place especially on hot days. Our usual server Laura was soooo sweet & accomodating. She was on top with asking us with our needs even with to-go orders! This cafe is for sure a go-to spot for me.

Alana's Cafe 1408 Burlingame Ave Burlingame, CA 94010 alanascafe.com (650) 348-0417 March 30, 2024. First visit to Alana's Café. We arrived at opening time on a Saturday morning, a line forming already. Fortunately, with the additional parklet seating They were able handle quite a number of people. *I ordered the breakfast special of the day: Traditional Mexican breakfast of Chilaquiles. *Café Latte. *Parental Unit. Sonoma scrambles. The coffee cake was delish on its own. I would have suggested to order toasts to go with the Sonoma scrambles, but Parental Unit wanted to taste the coffee cake. *We had to try the French toast- homemade raisin focaccia. Everyone was extremely friendly, the rest of the employees were quick to take any plates, always checked in on us as well. The service won me over. One of the best services ever encountered. If ever in the downtown Burlingame, Alana's is definitely on the list for breakfast. Stop by Copenhagen for desserts. Olive oils and wine tasting at the cutest French cottage style store -Del' Oliva.

It's pretty wild that I had never been here before because I grew up around here but I had my regular brunch places that I was loyal to. But I can totally understand why people love coming here. It's located in a nice area sitting in the park let was a great way to enjoy the beautiful weather. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food tasted very home cooked for sure! I'm so glad they suggested the special because it was bursting with unique flavors and was perfectly filling. I didn't try their famous pancakes but I will be back!!!

Best place to have brunch. I love Alana's. Food and service are always great. There's a wait in weekends so get there early or grab a coffee while you wait for a seat. Great spot to walk around after or before your meal.

Small neighborhood restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. They get very busy we arrived at opening and it was full a half an hour after. Staff are the best can't get better service. Tried the pecan pancakes and Sonoma scramble. Everything was delicious! Good coffee too. This is one of the best in the area.

Phenomenal eggs benedict. The eggs were perfectly done with the runny yolk. Homestyle potatoes on the side were well seasoned with a slight crisp. The oatmeal pancakes were interesting, in a good way. Got it with the lingonberry, good flavor combo with a nice chew from the oatmeal. A nice sweet complement to my savory entree. Mocha was too sweet, like drinking hot chocolate, and not enough coffee flavor. They torched some sugar on top which was a really nice touch. Service was adequate.

The food was good but the owner rushed us in ordering before my sister who was parking and coming in any minute and she also asked us to hurry out after we had signed the check even though we were still finishing coffees.

Favorite brunch spot! The Avocado Toast and Swedish Oatmeal Pancakes are my go-to options. The pancakes with lingonberries is truly the perfect combination. I've never ordered pancakes consistently at a breakfast spot, but here it is a must! The avocado toast is consistently something I love with the smoke salmon on top. Plenty of outdoor seating and quick service always. Nice portion sizes and friendly staff!

I'm not a pancake fan AT ALL, but for some reason, I had a hankering for pancakes the other day. I didn't want to go to the usual pancake spots because I knew that once I took a bite, I would be over my craving and the dish would be completely wasted on me. However, Alana's famous Swedish oatmeal pancakes beg to differ. I ordered a short stack with the lingonberry option ($14.50). It also comes with a small side of maple syrup. It's literally oatmeal in pancake form and although it's technically not super healthy, at least I'm getting some fiber. We also ordered a couple other egg-based dishes, but nothing wildly amazing. Servers were friendly and there was plenty of outdoor seating to accommodate our pup. Also, if you ask for takeout boxes, they bring you paper plates and aluminum foil. Finally, if you didn't already know, you get a 10% discount if you check-in on Yelp! Just be sure to double check your bill because they forgot to apply it initially.

I miss Alana's cafe when they used to have the house in Redwood City. Itwas one of my favorite places to come to visit on a weekend for brunch. It was one of the many reasons I fell in love with the Bay Area. The scone w/ jam and eggs with a bottomless cup of coffee served with Love on a beautiful Summer Day. I'll never forget it. I had to drop someone off at the airport and decided why not, I hadn't visited the Burlingame location before so I decided to pay this place a visit. We got there shortly after 9 a.m. on a rainy weekend and was seated immediately at a two top. Our server asked me as I sat down if I wanted coffee which I replied yes, please. She gave a us a few minutes to go over the menu and also told me about the special of the day Chilaquiles w/ Chorizo. I am always in the mood for Chilaquiles. I ordered that, my son ordered the Mediterranean Omelet w/ Chicken Sausage, and we got a stack of the Swedish pancakes to share. The food came out shortly after. I love their delicious scones, which vary from weekend to weekend. On this day they had a Fig Almond scone, which I had to try. It tasted wonderful. The ambiance was very busy with alot of servers walking around making sure everyone had coffee or water and were satisfied with their dishes. If your ever in the Burlingame area and are in the mood for lunch please stop by and try this place. You won't regret it.
