Literally this place is underrated I've always looked up Peruvian food and never saw this gem of a spot. The food is literally mouth watering I live by a couple Peruvian restaurants and none compare to this one! Great customer service as well definitely worth the 45 min drive. Also recommended you call ahead if your going to dine at the restaurant to make sure there's a table available.

This restaurant is in an office building, not super easy to find but well worth looking for. Every single meal is prepared to order and is outstanding.

The lomo saltado is the BEST I’ve ever had.

This is one of the best Peruvian restaurants I’ve been to in all my travels! I’m a Peruvian who resides in NY and I can say without a doubt that the quality and presentation of dishes at this place is top notch! The chef/owner takes great on what he does and although I’m so glad I found this place, I only wish it had been sooner and not on my last day in SF. I definitely plan to return here the moment I visit San Francisco again!

Felt bad for such a great restaurant cuz the pandemic is preventing people to eat out right now. Loved the food. The ceviche mixto is huge portion. Fillet mignon was cooked to perfection. You can definitely tell that the chef put a lot of love to the food. The presentation is spot on.

Never open business. Went to 2 times for lunch always closed or nobody to severe. Waste of time.

The Lomo Saltado is like no other I have ever tasted. And Don Jorge hospitality is the best!

This is my favorite kind of restaurant and I've been afraid to review it because I didn't want it to potentially become too busy...but I also want it to stay in business for my next visit! We stopped by for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how the food was prepared (with love and pride!), how extremely delicious it tasted, and by the sweet vibe of the place. I hate eating out most of the time now due to poor service, disappointingly mediocre or substandard food, portions, prices, very noisy environments, etc. Chancay (when we went, it was still called New World Cafe) reminded me of how a meal prepared with skill and care can make dining an experience that feeds the soul as well as the belly.

So so so delicious. Filet mignon with fries and rice. Pretty pricey overall but amazingly delicious. Would recommend!

First, I would like to say what a total hole in the wall. This restaurant is tucked away in a little office building on the first floor and I honestly thought I was at the wrong place. There is a sign out front that said New World Peruvian which left me confused since Yelp told me Chancay Peruvian. I was here for Paint Nite and according to the Paint Nite host the restaurant typically isn't open on Mondays so you should definitely call to confirm. If you're coming here, do make sure you have plenty of time and are patient. This seems like a very traditional place and so the chef tended to a bunch of things before he came and took our order. However, he was so polite and nice and chatted about how the restaurant has been here in this office building for 7 years and complimented my attempt at reading the menu and told me I was pretty good d: OK to the food. May I suggest the Filet Minon & Shrimp Scampi. Yes, it's the most expensive thing on the menu but it was SO good! It is a fist size (my fist is proportional to a 5'3" petite woman) filet minon cooked just as you specify on top of some rice that perfectly complements the shrimp and sauce. I would definitely come back for that. Do note that your breath will be kicking later though but it was so worth it! One of my coworkers got the same thing as I did and agrees with me that it was super good. My coworker got the Tallarin Saltado con tofu and mushroom. It usually comes with just tofu or mushroom but the chef offered to add both :) my other coworker got the anticuchos de hongos. I tried both and both tasted good. Both of them tried the shrimp and filet minon off my plate and raved about it. I am definitely coming back here when I get the chance. Just please remember to be patient when you're here!

Don't let the humble location deter you from eating here. Located in a small office complex, it doesn't look like much. We sat in the parking lot for a few minutes deciding whether to stay or find something else. Because there's not much in the area, we opted to stay. And we are very happy we did! We were warmly greeted by the owner who remained attentive the entire time. He recommended the Lomo Saltado as the house specialty. It's one of those dishes that left me craving it ever since. The meat was so tender and the flavor was outstanding. Paired with a good glass of cabernet and I was in heaven! We also shared the Seco De Pescado which was also very good. Fresh fish in a sauce with a hint of wine. The prices were higher than expected, but it was worth it for the quality. I will definitely return when near the airport!

Had an amazing food here few weekends ago. We came for a late lunch so there was no wait to be seated. The owner chef still warned us the food my take a while to come out because they make everything from scratch. Apparently some customers complained earlier. The food did take a little longer than usual but I'd say it was worth it. They serve good portions and the service was great.
