Ordered a custom smash cake for my 1 year-old along with cupcakes. Found this place after searching for vegan custom-made cake as my daughter is allergic to eggs. From ordering to pick-up, the whole communication was smooth and the cakes came out great as my baby and the party guests enjoyed them a lot. Definitely will be back again for cakes and cupcakes in the future, and would love to explore different themes and flavors. Great to support a local business as well!

Rachel's Cakes made a stunning birthday cake for my husband, plus delicious cupcakes and even a vegan jar for our vegan friends. My husband and his friends and family were cycling 80 miles for his 80th birthday. In discussing with Jodi the decoration for the top of the cake, I showed her the customized jerseys and she and her bakers were able to re-create the jersey on the cake, complete with '80 for 80', the Golden Gate Bridge, sun...the 'jersey' even had fine 'stitching' and short sleeves. Wow. The cake was admired by all. Did I mention it was also delicious? This is my 'go-to' from now on for all bakery items.

Very good cake decoration but the cake itself is bit dry. If your focus is on decoration, the price is acceptable but overall it is bit expensive.

Jodi is so sweet! We found Rachel's Cakes back in I believe 2019 when we were looking for a wedding cake for our original wedding in 2020. We got married at the Oceano Hotel this past April and they were on their preferred list of vendors. Initially we met with Rachel (the previous owner) who helped us with our tasting and original design. However, she left before our wedding and Jodi was with me every step of the way. Especially when COVID happened I'm so happy she was super patient with me with all my frazzled emails. However, she was able to keep my original vision for my cake. We eloped at the end of 2020 and she was able to create mini versions of our wedding cake. For our April 2021 wedding we also ended up order some extra treats and our guests loved them! Jodi was also super mindful of our color scheme and even made sure our treats reflected that. Our guests loved the cake too! The flavors are delicious! We will be ordering here for all of our custom cake needs in the future!

Wow! Rachel's is my new go-to bakery. I needed to order a vegan cake at the last minute and am so happy to have stumbled upon Rachel's. I sent in an order request on Monday for a cake needed by Thursday. Within a day, I got a call from Jodi who was so helpful and accommodated my request despite the short notice. I was in such a rush that I selected a simple chocolate cake with vanilla icing and left all the decor choices to Jodi. When we picked up the cake on Thursday, we were SO happy. Not only was the cake absolutely gorgeous, it tasted just as good. The cake was moist with a decadent chocolate flavor and the frosting was the perfect amount of sweet. By far one of the best vegan cakes I have ever had! Thank you so much to Jodi and team for taking this last minute request and still delivering at the highest standard. We can't wait to order again!

Our boys love to bake and decorate cookies, but I don’t often have time to bake and monitor every step of a baking activity. Rachel’s cakes puts out these amazing, kid friendly cookie decorating kits, complete with frosting and sprinkles. They are a hit with my kids and the cookies taste divine! For moms birthday I ordered a 6" carrot cake, four layers filled cream cheese frosting and pretty flower decorations. So frickin' beautiful and tasty. PLUS they have the most amazingly gooey cinnamon rolls and seasonal treats for any occasion. Recently tried the Guinness choco cake soaked with Jameson and Bailey's irish cream cheese filling....divine!! Advice -- plan ahead, you need to book weeks in advance of event. Do not sleep on life's special moments because this shop is in high demand.

Heard about this place online and decided to support a local business. Ordered a custom made cake 3 days before the event and we were not disappointed. It looked awesome and tasted great. From the flavor standpoint, you will have all sorts of options from the traditional vanilla to chocolates, to the exotic and more trendy flavors. Depending on the size of the cake they can do multiple flavors as well. We have the 8 inch cake and it was plenty for 8 people. Jodi, (spelling?) the main person there was very helpful in guiding the design, flavor, size a so forth. Will for sure use them again the future. Everyone that had the cake were impressed with the design and the flavor. We ended up picking Banana with chocolate chips, it was perfect, not too banana-ish and not to sweet; well balanced. So delicious that the kids decided to just attack the cake itself by biting right into it!. The outside design was so detailed, as depicted in the photos. Not sure how long they spent on this cake.
