Fabulous experience for our anniversary dinner. Food was excellent. They made it a very special occasion for us with a great table and anniversary dessert.

It is always such a treat to go to this magical place, unfortunately the food and management can be quite a disappointment. 6 of us went for 7:15PM dinner Saturday night and everything was lovely initially; cocktail, salads, and appetizers and a complimentary demitasse of mushroom bisque. But then it was a painfully long 30 minute wait for our entrees. We were perplexed with how much time had passed, and as it is not a very late night place, the restaurant was clearing out, and we still had not been served. We had to flag down our waiter, who had not previously approached our table to acknowledge the long delay or to update us. Dining out has a pace to it, and this pace was that it was time for dessert, or after dinner coffee, or just time to pay the bill, except we hadn’t had our entrees yet. Finally the entrees arrived, 5 of them, but not the birthday celebrant’s. A long several minutes later, the manager brought over the 6 entree, trout with a perfunctory acknowledgment of the delay. Mixed reviews of the food. The salmon diner was happy, my $72 16 oz. ribeye was tasty but lukewarm. My wife’s chicken and everything on her plate she found to be inedible. There was no followup to the table from the manager, though now the restaurant had just a few remaining diners besides us. I stepped away from the table to speak privately to our waiter about the “spoiling” of this special evening, and the failure of the waiter or management to communicate with us proactively about the problem the kitchen was having, or to offer us any consolation, remedy, or compensation. The waiter was fully aware of our disappointing experience, and seemed sincerely apologetic and embarrassed by our experience. Still no offer of any remedy until I proposed they might offer us complimentary coffees for the table. Apparently the waiter took this up with the manager and they comped us the coffee and our 1 round of cocktails. The manager never came to the table, which is really kind of pathetic. This is such a special place, yet it seems to continue to fail to serve food as special as the setting, or to manage the guest experience.

Very pretty restaurant. I figured it would be the type of place where you pay for the atmosphere but the food was delicious and the service was good as well.

Everything was beautifully done. The wait staff was incredible. The food was quite good, but some of it way overpriced for the size of the portions. The ambience is both lovely and grotesque. Too many dead animals decorating the place everywhere you look. I know it’s a hunters lodge, but oh my God! It’s everywhere! Rather overwhelming.Vegetarian options: We have a vegan family member, and rather than her having to just order sides, the chef put a beautiful plate together for her.

One of the most over rated restaurants I ever went to. Firstly $15 Valet only parking. As there is nowhere else to park so they start taking your money here.We went because the website didn’t say a lot. We thought a cute little lodge. No prices on the website. So it’s a very expensive breakfast. Eggs Benedict Plus non optional 20% service charge which also get taxed so your paying $50 which is absolutely obscene. Don’t know who they are thinking that’s reasonable. We had to wait 15 minutes whilst they got a table ready for us at 11am. There were 6 people in the place.Generally it’s dark and dingy and could do with a dusting and general clean. Food on the floors: there are 100s over better places for brunch or lunch within 10 minute drive and better priced.

I took my wife for Valentines Day . The menu was prix fixe for $185 per person not including 36% service fee. From the 4 courses (3 dinner 1 dessert) we had lobster bisque , scallops , elk , filet mignon , chocolate cover strawberries and Meyer lemon cake. Scallops were raw and smelled fishy, filet was over cooked -well done , elk was ok but lacking flavor. Total bill $540. Valet parking $14 . Total $554I just can’t justify the spend for the quality and taste of the food . Next time I’m going to COSCO cook my own scallops and fillet for under $100 ,light a candle, buy roses and have an awesome romantic dinner.PASS ON THIS PLACE.

Valentines dinner menu was almost a joke. Quality and taste were below par. Steak cooked medium for what its worth, no flavor, no juices, no savory sauce or reduction. Chewed very dry. Veggies looked horrible. Wife’s plate was fish and not flavoral at all either. Upon walking in bartender was grunting and annoyed about her job. Hostess were nice as can be. Place seems to have gone down hill. To top it off, presentation was poor; especially the starter.

The food was shockingly bad here and I truly can’t believe they can get away with serving this level of food for a $500 check! Came here on Valentine’s Day for a pre fixed menu which may have been a mistake and the food was bordering on inedible, tough steaks, soup that was basically spaghettios and cold squash with brown sugar clumps on it. My husband and I were both so nauseous afterwards and I got sick. You could tell a lot of the food was just reheated. It’s a very coolspace and I thought it would be a much better restaurant but I would never go here again.

V interesting crazy rustic decor. Food was not worth it. I ordered recommended hamburger. First iteration and undercooked .. odd condiment flavor, but wasn't sure if it was bec meat too rare. Had to flag down the server who didn't even do the perfunctory check on how was your meals. He took it away and said would deliver a new one. Fine except the new one, in a restaurant with many empty tables, so not busy, came when rest of table almost finished, and had to inquire where the redo was. It came soon after, this one overcooked and still with odd taste. I gave it back. This is not a typical experience for me. A suit came out to apologize and offer anything else, but at that point, declined. They did comp of course and were duly apologetic. The egg scramble dish was totally ordinary, and their signature how are, which takes 20 mins to make and arrives in a skillet infused with maple syrup, v sweet and not exciting. Service was poor with many wait staff and no attention. Would not return, despite the nice suit.

Went with friends for New Years Eve reservation 8:30 pm. Only 2 other tables the whole night with only 2-4 people. Our group was 6 people. Took 1 1/2 hours to get our food. I was very specific with the waiter I couldn’t have the lobster coconut sauce on my salmon. The food finally arrives and I’m starving and his helper puts my plate down covered in Lobster sauce. I waited for the waiter because his helper didn’t speak English in the meantime I was scraping off the sauce and by the time he came over my friends ate most of their meal. I said they put the sauce on my salmon and he has the nerve to say “I’ll get some napkins for you to wipe the sauce off” I was in complete shock. I said I can’t wait another 1 1/2 hours to wait and being allergic I need the chefs to burn all the sauce off. He didn’t care didn’t offer something else for me to eat or even take it off the billl. I will never return again!

This place is especially beautiful during fall/winter. Best Christmas ? decor. Service is fantastic. Food is always tasty. Plenty options to share from. We love the Elk, quail and Vietnamese pork belly. Olive cake is my favorite dessert. Reservations are needed.

DO NOT ENTER! Ate here last night for Christmas dinner which was a fixed course. I’m currently nursing a violent case of food poisoning from what I think is from the salmon. Also, while we waited for our car from the valet, there was a heinous smell of raw sewage right outside the front door. Not worth the $400 bill whatsoever.
