The ambiance is quite inviting, and the service is very delightful. The drink is Lord Voldemort, the drink that shall not be named!!!

I put 5 stars for food because drinks were not an option. This place is a speakeasy and it does not disappoint. Super cool atmosphere with “secret” entrance. Very nice to have a cool, local place within Ventura County to enjoy a nice cocktail.

The Amendment speakeasy lounge in Camarillo is a hidden gem tucked behind Basil and Thyme Vietnamese cuisine. To enter, you'll need to find the door inside Basil and Thyme. Open only on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6 PM to midnight, this intimate venue accommodates around 20 to 25 guests at a time.Stepping into The Amendment feels like entering a time machine. The wood and brick decor, dark colors, leather seats, and glass bottles at the bar transport you back in history, replicating the ambiance of a real speakeasy. The retro-style bar offers a menu of speakeasy-inspired drinks, ensuring there's something for everyone's palate. The bartender, reminiscent of those during the speakeasy era, takes your drink order politely and delivers it to your table with finesse. Their service is impeccable, and the bartender is knowledgeable about the menu and the speakeasy era in general, readily answering any questions.I'll definitely be returning to The Amendment for its cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a drink with friends. While the prices are a bit higher, it's worth it for the novelty and rich history this bar has to offer.Kid-friendliness: It’s a bar….

The Amendment Speakeasy Lounge in Camarillo is a hidden gem worth discovering. Tucked behind Basil and Thyme Vietnamese Cuisine, the best way to enter is through the door inside the restaurant. Open only on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6 PM to midnight, this cozy spot accommodates around 20 to 25 guests at a time. Stepping into The Amendment feels like a journey back in time, with its wood and brick interior, dark colors, leather seats, and glass bottles behind the bar. The retro-style bar exudes the charm of real speakeasies, and the drinks are equally impressive with a menu inspired by the speakeasy era. There's something for everyone to enjoy. Just like the bartenders during the speakeasy era, the bartender here takes your drink order with politeness and brings it to your table. The service is exceptional, with knowledgeable staff who can answer any questions about the menu or the speakeasy culture. I'll definitely be returning to The Amendment for its cozy and intimate ambiance, perfect for gathering with friends over a nice drink. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, it's worth it for the novelty and rich history this bar has to offer.

Showed up at 6:30 pm on Friday night to try this establishment. Doors were locked. There was a bartender behind the bar and he saw us... but would not open the door. Disappointed...

Swanky, dark & quaint speakeasy. Handcrafted libations tickle your tastebuds with reminiscent times of the past... a dark past? In the corner of the room, a mysterious dark-haired man tips his hat,? and you flash him a smile behind ruby lips ? raising her drink ? in his direction, pursed lips, taking a sip of Chartreuse. ?The Amendment is THAT kind of spot---at least in my imagination.

Love this place! The bartenders seem like they enjoy making the drinks and talking with customers. I've tried a large variety of their drinks and I've loved every single one (no exaggerations at all)! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet place to wind down and enjoy a drink with a friend.

This is a really good cocktail bar if you're In the area and definitely worth trying out If you can catch them when they're open. I'd give 5 ⭐'s but they're a bit small & only open 3 days a week (Thursday/Friday/Saturdays) from 6:00 to Midnight. That all said, totally cool spot w/ great cocktails and friendly/knowledgeable bartenders that know what they're doing. They have a really good selection of good to really great spirits to make sure you're getting the best. Will definitely be going back and this will probably become one of my go-to bars in Camarillo, feel free to come by and say hi if I'm there and if not chat with one of the bartenders.

Am I dreaming? This brilliant speak easy with hand crafted cocktails transports me to another era and makes me feel like I'm in NYC or San Francisco. Is Camarillo worthy of such class with top shelf drinks with yet a welcome atmosphere? Who am I to judge. Absolutely brilliant! Love it. Stiletto PD is the drink to order gals. #You're welcome.

When a small line forms outside an establishememt just over the grade one must take notice. The Amendment is a rare balance of mystique, brilliance and warmth.A speakeasy to it's core The Amendment's hand crafted cocktails, top shelf liquors and menu of drinks is perfect in every way. While classy, the atmosphere is still welcoming and neighborly. Intelligent in an approachable way.Come as you are from jeans to dress up, all are clearly welcome.A mixed age crowd co-mingle and it works. From date nights, to friends nights to singletoms. The smarter and kinder of the Ventura and over the grade crowd are finding their vibe and pilgramiging here.Hard to find park outside 'Basil and Mint' or the 'Good Fellas Barber shop' and walk around until you find the manageable line or the philosopher disguised as a bouncer.Enjoy.PS - a beer menu was spotted here. I don't hold this against them.
