Had my husband try to run in and get me a sub after my surgery and he was turned away by the female who was working. She stated she had to stock and wasn’t serving my husband at the time. When I left the hospital we went back and that said female was kissing the male worker. They seen us she ducked behind the counter to hide and then the male went into the back. Super unprofessional.

Employees are pretty rude. As soon as I walked in the employee sitting down at the table on her phone yelled "we only have white and wheat bread.". I had only just walked in and I was the one in the restaurant but they were clearly annoyed and rushed my order. This place will make you feel like you're a burden for coming in, and also not have many ingredients. They had also left one door locked so that some of the other people who tried coming in, tried the wrong door handle and assumed the place was closed. The employees laughed at this after two had walked away. Probably better off closing the restaurant as opposed to just having awful service and reviews. Why'd it have to be such a bad experience? Just tryna get a sandwich.

Today I woke up this morning craving subway like i do on a normal Saturday, my usual routine every Saturday is to go to subway and get me cold cut combo and ever since they added the foot long cookie i have been eating that also. I was away from my normal location therefore I had to venture to a new subway, the subway located near del mar beach, 21 area. I noticed that this store claimed to open at 0800 hours, but it appeared that they did not open the store yet. I asked around and heard this is a repetitive problem with this location. In my life I have been to 26 different subway locations, and never had this issue in my life as a subway fan. I then proceeded to waste 45 minutes of my time, on my saturday, being away from my children whom I love with entire heart, and they still were not open.I’ve been asking around to people in the area and i’m hearing that they typically are never open on time, usually opening over 2 hours past the opening time. This wouldn’t be an issue to me, but the fact that their hours claim to open at 0800 hours. This really disappoints me as i am a big fan of the subway industry, and have been getting the same sub since i was 8 years old. From now on I will be taking my family to jersey mikes even though i think subway is way more superior to Jersey Mikes. I will be taking a break from subway and even though i know my business being gone won’t effect them as a whole, but i hope to spread the word about this specific location and help people learn that this subway is NEVER open on time. I also request if your employees are incapable of opening at the stated time then please change the time.-Sincerely Joe

Ordered here 5 times in the last 8 months. Tried to use convenience of mobile order. 80% of the time they were out of stock on what I ordered. (Bread, meat, sauces) cookies. Marines don't spend time to review this location so prob why the rating is still higher. I did at least get a call when I was 2 minutes away (thought it was scam). Time is money and gas is money....

Anytime you go to this location there will be either no vegetables, no meat, or no bread. They are always out of whatever you need for a complete sub, but will definitely charge you full price for just meat and bread. Tonight, they were even out of most of the sauces. Absolutely ridiculous.

If you can, make the drive across base and go to the other subway. I made an order online and went to pick-up, when I got there, the doors were locked and it seemed closed. The order had been accepted and paid for so I tried the door inside the mcx, which luckily was open. The girl inside was on her phone and once she noticed me she gave me the hoagies and everything was fine, until I got home and realized the order was all wrong. Didn't have almost anything that I ordered, not even the avocado which I paid extra for! No tomatoes, no lettuce, no onion, no avocado, no Chipotle sauce, just meat, cheese, mayo, and Spinach. I understand if you're out of things, that's fine but they didn't say anything or try to at least let us know. I might be making a fuss over some ingredients and $2.00 but I could've bought a drink or chips with that. The biggest letdown was the Hoagie that was nothing like what I ordered. So much for ordering online.

Good and quick no line on Sunday, however they are low on everything it seems like , the veggies looked like someone didn't prep for the day. Food was good though no complaints when they did have the item. Place was clean as well.

Lately they’ve been closing early. They’re sign said “closed early” it is 4pm. They closed 6 hours early. I have heard nothing but horrible things about this subway recently. They never used to do this and I heard this African American women closes the store early and lies about the “system being down” so she can serve no one.

Went in one day at 2 in the afternoon and the lady said they were closed. A week later went it at 5 in the evening and they said the same thing even though the doors were unlocked. Kinda suspicious. By far the worst service on base

It’s Saturday august 5, 12:37 tell me why management decided to only put one worker on this shift? You’re a franchise at an active duty base. People are hungry 24/7. That poor girl was trying her hardest to keep a smile on her face but that is very poor management. I ordered online and waiting 45 minutes to get my sandwich. No way subway. You don’t deserve a single star.

This Tuesday at 6:00 the lady that works there most week days locked the door and sat there and stared at me when the store hours say they're open for another 3 hours. If the lady ever does have the door open she has a horrible attitude and makes you feel guilty for trying to get some food. I think higher management should take action on this issue due to it happening more than once and I've had plenty of other friends say that they've had the same issue.

July 27 2023 at 1055am, this store had both doors wide open with no one working the front. While standing there I noticed both the condiments and the meat area open and flies flying around landing on the exposed food unattended. Having called out for someone waiting I noticed a significant number of fruit flies flying around the fountain drink area and the trash next to it. It took several calls outs for someone to finally come out to the front. If you have nothing to do other than to both employees taking a break at the same time, why isn’t one of them cleaning the front area and taking the trash out and at minimum close the lids to cover the food while it’s not being used. Pretty disgusting place.
