“Convenient spot & a fantastic selection of beers. Plus... They always have a good stout on tap, year-round, which for some reason is hard to find in the south bay area.We stopped going to Loma & Happas because stouts are unpredictable and/or non-existent except for a couple winter months.“
“What a great place! I was traveling in the area on business and stopped in for a few beers. I met the owner Matt. What an amazing guy. Truly passionate about his craft; sharing craft beers with the world. Matt was super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. It was clear within a few minutes why there were a host of "regulars" present as well as a mix of folks pre-gaming for the Sharks, and other passersby. Whenever my travels take me back to this area I will be sure to visit. If you're reading this....go see for yourself and enjoy a taste from their diverse offering of beer.“
“Great little spot to enjoy some coffee or beer. Was great that they were open late hours. Wonderful atmosphere outside on the patio. Great staff - even hooked us up with a heater for us outside. I enjoyed an excellent cappuccino and some walnut baklava that was divine.“
“The quality of food here is excellent. The availability of some of the menu options also depends on whether you visit for lunch, dinner, or brunch. The dinner menu is a bit limited and I wish they added Weisswurst and Wiener Schnitzel (veal) back to the dinner menu. But overall, dining at Ludwig’s is a great experience. My favorites are the Jägerschnitzel and the Currywurst. They also have a great selection of beers, of course, and the cocktail options are great as well.Parking: Small parking lot in back of restaurant plus plenty of street parking near by“
“This is a cool little spot! The beer was good! We got a flight of 6 for $25. The only down side was it seemed like they were running out a few of the sours that were listed on the wall. This gives a little bar/restaurant vibe! Our kiddo had the build your own pasta and we had the spicy Italian pizza. Both were really good! There is a wine spot connected to this place so if beer isn't your thing but wine is, you're in luck! Only negatives for this spot is parking is super limited but that's because it's little Italy and some of the patrons seemed like they were a little sloppy drunk. One guy in 30 minutes put down 3 shots and a beer and was already on a good one when we got there. He for sure should've been cut off! We will be back though!“
“It's been at least 10 years since I'd visited Jack's, so I popped in real quick because I was in the area. I ordered a couple of beers and a whiskey from Monica the bartender and I must admit this place looks better than before with the remodeling and outdoor patio. It was how I like a bar to be, dimly lit, sports on Tv's and music playing. I would definitely stop by again when I get a chance.“
“Love this place. The indoor seating is closed but The Cider Junction has since built out a patio area that my husband and I really enjoyed. The staff is always so knowledgeable about their menu and very friendly. We will be back again real soon! Very very nice cider selection.“
“This place is the real damn deal. Impeccable German beer and schnapps/liqueur selection. Kegs were super fresh. Proper glassware - all that stuff. I’ve been to Germany and to German restaurants/bars all over the US, and this place is top notch. A haven in the city. Had the leiberkäse plate. This is a test dish for any German place and it was as good as I have had anywhere including Bavaria. Prost!“
“We stopped by here to grab a drink for the range. We ordered a couple of the IPAs and enjoyed them, along with the regular fries. It's pretty self-serve - you order at the bar and get a buzzer for the food. Solid service and solid drink and food. They have a happy hour starting at 7 pm the weekdays, and starting at 5pm on weekends. There's a ton of indoor and outdoor seating. On Friday at 5ish, it was busier than I've ever seen it but enough seats for a few more parties!“
“Great place for groups or just to hang out with a couple of friends. Recommend the patio when the weather is good.Service has always been on point and friendly. They have also offered good recommendations.Menu could use more vegan and vegetarian options. The couple they do have are good. Entrees are good but their apps are better. Particularly the pretzels, truffle fries, sliders and the sausage plate (which is practically a meal with 3 sausages, toasted bread, sauerkraut, and I think mashed potatoes).Desserts: the donuts take a while and most of our group really liked them. I just found them a little too sweet for my taste and preferred the crème brûlée. The chocolate cake was good but we wanted lava or something inside. Instead there was more chocolate outside on the plate. ?Parking: There are parking lots and street parking available fairly close to the restaurant. However, recommend do going early as it is downtown. I feel like I’ve been fairly lucky every time I’ve gone as I’m able to park in the lot behind the restaurant or find same block street parking fairly quickly, which I know is unusual.“
“Really love this place. The bartenders are always friendly, the beer selection is great, friendly dogs are welcome, and its an overall great hangout.I understand that some reviewers are confused as to why their under 21 year old children are not allowed inside. This is because Out of the Barrel is, shockingly, a bar.“
