More than a bakery it looks like a boutique. With prices to match. Unfortunately while the cakes look great the quality was not there. Got an almond croissant and a chocolate croissant. Both were dry. Service was not on par either 3 minutes until someone asked what I was looking for and they were not

The tarts here all look adorable; I was immediately drawn to them. I had the pistachio one and the chocolate inside added a great dimension to it. It was a bit too sweet for me though and I didn't love the crust. The triangular napoleon I had tasted very fresh and flakey. It had a lot of cream but it was very palatable. They have a myriad of other things like cupcakes, macarons, pastries, and of course their famous spiral croissants. The interior of this place is lovely and they had fresh flowers on the tables. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the decor. There is more seating than I expected and a more secluded alcove with more tables. We came at a good time because there was a line for most of the time we were eating after. But in any case, there are lots of tables outside as well so I don't imagine it to be hard to find seating. Some of the workers there were really friendly but others were just chatting to each other which is no big deal but it's just something anyone would notice right away.I would consider the prices normal for the bay area and some of the pastries are actually quite big. I ate half a napoleon but it is the size of some whole ones at other bakeries.

They have a variety of desserts that are aesthetically pleasing, right portions for their sweetness. Tarts, creme brulees, cakes are good.Croissants are just okay. Expected them to be a lot fluffier at this price.Cappuccino was okay and is in small portions. You are paying a high price only for the ambience, service, upscale feel, and very little when it comes to quality.

Upscale ambiance and clean. Cakes and coffee were alright, but didn't really meet expectations. Everything overly sweet. Chocolate swirl croissant is a mix of a jelly donut and a normal croissant, except it doesn't do either justice. Unlike a normally good croissant, it is NOT "crispy on the outside chewy on the inside". It's not crispy. It also does NOT have the fluffy and airy texture of a jelly donut. The pistachio mousse cake was good, still too sweet. If judging by this only, would have given it 4 stars It serves Sightglass coffee but the lattes was very light (too milky). Rose latte was too sweet.

Came for the spiral croissants and it was not worth it.Spiral croissant review:The spiral croissant was about $9 after tax and fairly large, although I would never pay this much for a croissant if it wasn't for the hype. Got the one with raspberry lemon filling, and I have thoughts... The croissant itself has a great texture and crispy outer layer. However, the filling was just a raspberry jam and a lemon custard both piped into the croissant, and it was so runny and messy! Difficult to eat and also such basic, unimpressive fillings.Matcha latte review:Also ordered a matcha latte which was so disappointing. It was basically just hot milk with matcha powder dusted on top, so you can barely taste any matcha. Not worth it.Details for when you visit:Arrived on a weekend afternoon and it was busy inside. We lucked out and got a table to sit down, but there's not much seating for how busy and popular they seem to be. Parking can be difficult in this plaza since it's busy. The interior is beautifully decorated though and has a luxurious feeling. The other pastries looked gorgeous, although I can't speak to their taste. I am not coming back to try them though.

I am mildly obsessed with Marvel Cake. ?Whenever I have family/friends visiting I take them here. ? their attention to detail is apparent. The atmosphere transports you to what I imagine a dainty French cafe is like. I always feel like a Princess sitting for tea ??Each pastry is like a piece of art, you almost don’t want to take a bite because it is so delicate and beautiful. But when you do, the flavors & textures are wonderful. Don’t sleep on the savory pastries either! I usually take one home as a snack for later.A bit pricey per pastry, but again with the attention to detail & quality in each one, I find it well worth the price. Definitely recommend!!
