Taqueria Tarasco Tacos • $
1111 Adrian Way, San Jose - 7.54 miles

“Nestled in the area of a gas station, as most taco trucks are, you will find this gem. Easily legible signs direct you to examples of the types of items they make, along with the combination of fresh meats. The staff is friendly and prompt, they helped me understand my salsa selections, so I made the best choice for my meal. Today I had 3 taco's Al Pastor, with everything. Avocado salsa to top it all off. They also had a good selection of bottle and can soda's to choose from. The meat was very well seasoned, and the portions were adequate. Paired with a small bottled Coke, I am now perfectly full. I recommend to try this location, and have an enjoyable meal as well.“

Shellenas Deli Deli •
San Jose

“This is a deli on wheels. They are parked right outside the Home Depot in Story decided to try it out for the first time and I am so excited and that I did the girl taking the order was really sweet she was patient she listen to what I wanted and let me tell you the food is so fresh the tacos are huge. We sat outside on stools and we're able to enjoy our lunch. If you haven't tried thus little hidden gem please.do the super tacos or the regular tacos are both HUGE They are not stingy with their ingredients. The bacon, lettuce and tomatoe sandwich had so much baking in it. It was huge you don't need half everything that I ordered did not disappoint. I plan on going back and trying the rest of the food items on her menu. Stop by and try this deli on wheels, I promise she won't disappoint you, all ingredients are fresh so you might have to wait. I want to say 510 minutes but it's worth the wait so if you're in a hurry and you want your food in three minutes it's not gonna happen here but if you have that time to wait 5 to 1012 minutes we'll worth the wait mention my name you just might be surprised ‼“

Tamales Lupita (Food Cart) Mexican • $
77-79 Senter Rd, San Jose

“I was nearby getting some groceries and saw this cart. My kid loves tamales and was "really really hungry" so it was a great opportunity to try out this cart. The lady running the cart was pretty nice and recommended the pork as it wasn't spicy and having it as a plate so she can put creama and cheese on top (omitted the salsa). For $5, it was a pretty big tamale, though I do miss the days of $2-3 tamales. The masa was moist and pork was full of flavor. No regrets. The kiddo almost ate the whole thing, I really enjoyed the creama and cheese to add a bit of saltiness. They also had a green sauce to add acidity (lime) flavor as well. $4 to go, $5 plate, and an option to have it as a sandwich. They also have alots of drink options.“

“Everything here is good. Huge portions too for the money you spend. My favorite is the enchiladas michoacanas (portion is huge, they hook you up) or a burrito de pollo. Probably one of the best burritos on the east side. The salsas are also really good. I highly recommend this truck if you’re looking for some good tasting Mexican food on the East. This is definitely one of the hidden gems in San Jose. The wait is generally longer than other trucks but that’s because they’re making your order fresh to order. The huge quesadillas are also made with homemade tortillas.“

Diana's Tamales Factory Street Vendors •
2001 Story Rd, San Jose

“Unfortunately this location had a kitchen accident and they are temporarily closed but before this incident I was able to place an order of 4 dozen tamales. From the second I called them and asked questions about placing an order to prices and operation hours. They were all pretty helpful and very informative. They have by far the best tamales I've ever bought anywhere!! I will be placing a new order for Christmas at their location on McKee and can't wait to try them again. So unfortunate that they had a tragedy with their Story location but check them out at their McKee road store. Y'all won't be disappointed!!“

Tacos de Carnitas Tacos • $$
1151 McGinness Ave, San Jose

“Still my favorite late-night food truck burrito. The price is now $14 for a carne asada super burrito w/everything. If you love it very spicy, I recommend getting their hottest salsa which is a creamy orange color. Its as spicy as possible while still being enjoyable on the food.“
