I moved out of the area over two years ago. Before I left, I made one last visit here for the banh mi. Almost three years later, I came back and had to have banh mi at Yummee. Calvin was there and recognized me! I was very pleasantly surprised and happy to see him. Our sandwiches were delicious, satisfying, and did not disappoint. So happy. I can’t wait until the next time we’re back in town. Thank you, Calvin and family!

If you don’t mind the rudeness, the fish smell, or the long wait…(even when you pre order) then it’s good for what it is.

Went to get my bahn mi fix. Sandwiches were big, nice bread. A little expensive though, about $9 a sandwich.

The fam was craving Banh Mi. Called into to order 5 grilled pork sandwiches 30 minutes before closing. I was told they don’t do phone orders, I told the lady I was on my way and will be there 10 minutes before closing. She said they won’t make them until I arrive. Okay, maybe they were burned by someone before. Took the sandwiches home to my fam and the sandwiches were dry. No Banh Mi sauce at all and the pork had no flavor or marinade. I had to make my own sauce ( Sriracha, Mayo and Hoisin). The good thing about the experience was I learned how to make my own Banh Mi sandwiches and they are the bomb.

Food is great but Customer services from this lady sucks ......not sure why she is the person taking orders. There is never Boba for the drinks 3 weeks straight, but food is good otherwise. I hope she is not the owner. Work on the customer service ans there will be more business.

Best banh mi around. Bread is so crunchy it hurts and the perfect balance of meats and pickles.I always use the website and order ahead because I live and work 15-20 minutes away. My order is almost always ready when I get there. They have outdoor seating only.

Ordered the cha lua banh mi with pate, with no cilantro & no jalapenos. Banh mi had cilantro on it. Also, I've had a lot of banh mi sandwiches from different places since I was little... Never had one with onions on it???*Note to self* make sure you fully read the menu ?

Tried this for the first time this week--had a great experience. Arrived at noon and there were a few other customers right after me. The staff is kind and hospitable. I tried the #4, grilled pork. $8.95 for a good sized sandwich. Bread is fluffy, crisp and fresh. Pickled daikon and carrot had a good acidic bite to it. The pork was super flavorful and juicy. I noticed a tangy flavor profile that I don't usually taste in grilled pork bahn mi and enjoyed it! Would definitely come back. They don't take orders over the phone but online the prices are same as the store so you can order that way in advance. They accept credit cards.

Sandwiches are very good but the price keeps going up and now it's almost $10 with tax. The Vietnamese woman who I believe is one of the owners is very very nice....

Ok sandwiches for the price and if you're looking for a quick fix to a banh mi craving. But there are better options in the area. I went two times and both times the bread was leaning towards the stale side and not toasted. Maybe I was just unlucky...

My husband and I have been to Yummee sandwiches at least 4 times now. We love their banh mi sandwiches because they are fresh, plentiful, and so tasty! I usually get the tofu and love how it's packed with picked carrots, daikon, and cucumbers. They don't skimp on the proteins and put a lot of tofu inside of the sandwich! My sandwich lasts me the entire day! My husband gets the pork ones and loves them too. He also tried the beef curry with baguette and found it very flavorful. Their bread is so fresh and crusty. Yum! The prices are slightly higher than some of the places you would find in East San Jose, but the quality is superb. The location is great because East San Jose is far for me so this is quite local and easy to get. We will keep coming back for more!
