Bought some empanada and kare-kare a few days ago. The food was really oily that caused some indigestion. Not sure if they're using recycled oil but be careful.

I ordered 100 pieces of lumpia Shanghai for pickup on a Wednesday around 8:30 am. I arrived a few minutes late but all of the metered parking on the street right out front was available and I was able to park right in front of the entrance. There was also very little traffic on the road. The inside is small. There is no seating, but plenty of food options to choose from. Their desserts are placed on tables in the middle of the small floor and they also sell cold drinks and snacks on the floor as well. When you walk in, the hot food is visible to the right, and it smelled absolutely delicious. I saw my order ready to go on the back counter behind the register and waited just a moment before someone came out to greet me. The lumpia were $45 if paying with cash and ~$50 if paying with card. I tried one right as I got into my car. They were fresh and slightly crisp. The flavor was pretty good, not the best. I give them a 3/5 for flavor but it could have been more heavily seasoned. However the price is very good. I took this dish to my company potluck and many people enjoyed it even when it was colder and not as crispy. It was served with sweet and sour sauce that complimented the lumpia but wasn't necessary. All of the lumpia were gone by the end of the event and votes for best dishes brought included mine as one of the top! Great option for catering. I would like to try their other items another time. It seems they have been around for a very long time and I'm sure it's not just for their lumpia!

My wife introduced me to this place because she is Filipino and at first I was really loving the food it was pretty fresh and they where always nice and not stingy with their food but recently they have been messing up our Uber eats orders they where out of stock of a item and didn't even bother to call they just gave us what ever and the last couple of times I've been to their store the food has been looking old or reheated not the same from when I first tried their food recently I've ordered breakfast from them and have gotten bad stomach problems but today I went and bought some ube desserts with a combo and I am seriously concerned why is the ube moldy if they are not checking their desserts are they checking their chicken and pork expiration dates? This is a serious issue someone can get terribly sick I am very upset the first Filipino food I ever tried and I loved has gone down hill please please check your food :(

I've been ordering from nipa hut ever since COVID and one issue I mainly struggle with them is that they would give me a regular adobo plate instead of their adobosilog. I would totally understand if they ran out of it but I would appreciate it if they would at least let me know in advance that they don't have it. Their food is good but I just want to get the food I payed my money for.

I've been going here with my wife for a long, long time. Good, hot ready filipino food available all day. I love their lechon kawali, dinuguan, their breakfast menu etc. Clean restaurant, parking is easy and the staff is friendly.

If you want good chicken adobo, you have to go to the smaller shops where they make the authentic stuff. No matter how I try, I can never get my adobo to look and taste as good as this.

Food doesn't taste good. Sinigang didn't have a single veggie in it. The monggo tasted so bland. The sarshiado tasted weird. There are other Filipino restaurants in san Fernando valley, avoid this one.

The food varies and I like it. It is well cooked and great service also. They have tables in the back and it gives you that privacy.
