Popped in here to meet a friend for lunch today. It’s a hidden gem this place. Nothing fancy, but outstanding food. I always stop here when I’m the area.

A rather lackluster experience that left me and my guest quite unimpressed. Firstly, the amount of sweet sauces that was used on everything from sashimi to sushi rolls left us unable to taste much once we left. Some things needed a savory taste rather than the default sweet taste that works well with the general populace.Secondly, when I ordered the anago (sea eel), it was overcooked and had the bones flaying out from every side of the meat. Those bones are small and flexible so not the biggest deal, but for 30+ dollars I expected them gone and the meat cooked properly.I also ordered the yellowtail collar which is one of my favorites and it was also overcooked, losing the buttery-fatty taste that I expect and being sadly left with something that was no better than an overcooked salmon that I could have bought for 5-7 dollars instead of another 20.Service was good, just the food is overpriced for the quality. Spent a hundred and thirty dollars for two and was less satisfied than if I spent sixty and went to a generic all you can eat sushi place because at least then I would have expected average to below average quality food.

1/09/2024The Ramen was superb. Natalie was nice and the place was very clean. The environment had good vibes. The price was more affordable than the other place I have been. I will defenitely come back and try other stuff. My overall experiebce was top notch.

Don't waste your money on takeout from this restaurant. The sushi rolls are tiny. The shrimp tempura bowl is a few pieces of tempura and a scoop of plain, white rice. The ramen was underwhelming. There was nothing redeeming or worthwhile about this food. Ordering from literally anywhere else would be better.

Oishi is an absolute delight! The sushi is expertly crafted, bursting with fresh flavors. The menu offers a great variety of Japanese delicacies, and the service is attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant's ambiance is both elegant and relaxed, making it a perfect dining spot. A must-visit for sushi lovers and anyone who appreciates good Japanese cuisine. Five stars without a doubt!

Looking for your hidden gem in the valley for good sushi in a traditional sushi bar fashion? Look no further. The high-quality food it's only matched by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. No need to swing down to Hollywood for a top-shelf sushi experience, this place is just great! The traditional bar is sophisticated yet welcoming, and they even boast more than just excellent sushi. They also have comprehensive bento and ramen menu. Also, they have Kirin Ichiban-- which, as a personal bias, always scores a place extra points since it's the best beer to accompany sushi (don't @ me lol). Give them a try, you might just find your new favorite sushi & ramen joint ??

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and style. I said I liked the small candies they give after a meal and they gave me a lot of them for free. I highly recommend.

This is a favorite local spot while visiting family down south. They are locally owned by a husband and wife duo, along with a solid group of staff and chefs! They were recently closed for a while to do some remodeling, however they are back open with the same owners and delicious food! *PARKING*They have a dedicated lot that usually has plenty of open spaces. They are in an outdoor strip mall type location, so they share a lot with a few other businesses. *AMBIANCE* It is mostly quiet inside and comfortable with lots of booths with seating. There is also a bar where you can sit and watch the chefs in action. There are a few TVs inside as well. *SERVICE*The staff is, and has always been very friendly. My in-laws are close to regulars, and it's great that they remember us and even our order sometimes. *FOOD*While the prices are a little high, you get good bang for your buck. The servings are solid sized, and everything tastes fresh and delicious! What we ordered most recently:-Miso Soup ($3.95) - Classic taste and a great start to the meal!-Mixed Tempura (Vegetable & Shrimp - $10.95) - Tasty, but smaller portion. Likely wouldn't order this again in the future based on price and size. The dipping sauce also wasn't my favorite.-Combination Sashimi (7 pieces - $22.95) - Fresh and delicious!-Oishi Sashimi (12 pieces - $30.95) - Several pieces of different fresh fish including salmon, tuna, shrimp, yellow tail, and more! -Ninja Hand Roll (Spicy yellow tail, tuna, mixed krab, sprout, cucumber - $10.95) - Stuffed with filling and very tasty. Nice side piece, also able to get it in a cut-roll version. -Volcano Roll (Spicy tuna, avocado, baked salmon, spicy mayo, smelt egg, eel sauce - $19.95) - 8 pieces of deliciousness. Huge roll with a delicious sauce base. So good!-Bingo Roll (Shrimp Tempura, albacore, tuna, yellow tail, salmon, and mixed krab - $19.95) - This one is STUFFED with filling. They are mushy (in a good way) filled with so much fish. It has a distinct crunch throughout with the tempura, which is a nice contrast. It is served with a miso dressing type dipping sauce which paired with the roll perfectly.-Plum Wine - Didn't notice a price on this, but the serving size was solid and the wine was tasty! Overall I highly recommend checking out Oishi if you're in the area and/or looking for a delicious, authentic Japanese meal! Thanks again to the hardworking and friendly staff for the great experience every time we go!More media on IG & The Tok: @bbnem.food
