The staff were very nice and the cafe, itself, seems like a nice place to meet up at or possibly do some work in the early morning. However, I was not impressed with the drinks or food. I paid $7 for a cup of OJ, which is just absurd for 8 (or 10) oz. And I paid $7 for the savory waffle with chimichurri, which on paper sounds amazing, but the waffle (which was the size of my palm) took 20 min to get and was dry as a bone. The sauce container was about the size of a thimble. The drinks, I will say was on the same price range (but reaching the higher end of the range) as any other cafe. It wasn't anything impressive but it also wasn't disappointing.Overall, it wasn't worth the money or the wait for anything but the coffee.

There's live jazz music every Friday and Saturday night. They have a new food vendor every Friday night that makes dinner. Besides this it's a great place for meeting anyone, because they have a drink for everyone, wine, coffee, soda, champaign. Anything you like. Anyone would be happy.Parking: It's right next to the coaster station in Carlsbad so it's the best place to park because there's plenty of parking. And then you can walk to Baba. There's also street parking, but more limited.

Been coming here for years. Coffee is always great. Love their egg and cream cheese sammies. But there’s one thing that has prompted me to write this review now, especially when competition has conveniently moved in across the street. And it’s the staff. They’re always pleasant but man, when you got three employees standing around just talking the entire time, and not tidying up the tables, it’s just a little silly. Leftover napkins on tables, blankets not folded up, chairs pulled out, wet floors that could easily be mopped up (raining outside). I just think the owner should know what’s going on when they’re not around. I want this place to thrive.

First time there. Friendly server, coffee as good as other coffee shops, prices comparable, feels like a friendly local Carlsbad village hang out.

Empanadas and lattes were good. But the cashier misunderstood my order and I got a different drink than I wanted and costing me more. The space is nice with plenty of seats but the wifi seems really slow even when hardly anyone is around.

The coffee was very good. Very expensive. Four dollars for a medium cuppa coffees. Just brutal..But the $10 breakfast sandwich, it was just scrambled eggs and cream cheese on two small pieces of bread.Coffee and a sandwich $16 plus the gratuity on top of that. The hostess was a gem.Insulting to have to pay so much for food that lacks imagination or even nutritional value.

Baba Coffee House caught our eye as we strolled by after dinner, mainly because of the live music they had going on. We decided to pop in for some coffee, beer, and wine.Having been here a few times previously, I appreciate their dog-friendly policy; they even provide treats for our furry friends. The place offers a decent range of coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages, pastries, and food options.Their service is prompt and reliable, and the staff is quite friendly. It's become a go-to spot for me when I need a different setting to work in. Overall, Baba Coffee House provides a nice variety of drinks and food, coupled with efficient service—a good spot to relax or get some work done.
