They made racist comments against Latinos talking about deporting them. Me and my Mexicans friends were very uncomfortable and felt like we were treated very badly just because we were a different race.

This was a surprisingly chill bar right on the edge of the village, right across the street from the Coyote Bar and Grill. We couldn't get in over at Coyote so we took our large group over to Boar Cross'n. We were able to get drinks at the bar without too long of a wait and got seats at the bar and at a couple of the small tables near the bar. It was definitely a younger crowd then the usual Carlsbad 40s and 50s. This place attracts more of a 20s-30s crowd probably due to the couple of pool tables and more of a dive bar feel. It's nicer than the Kraken though, so not that divey. ?

do not use the atm at boar cross'n. i had to pull out cash to pay their cover charge on nye and my debit card was immediately used at kick streaming for $500. i had to also hand my dl to the door guy to make sure i came back, im sure they used that as part of their fraudulent activities. don't be an idiot like me as my bank is refusing to refund. check my reviews, i rarely comment on yelp. just trying to help! besides the above, i actually kind of liked the place.

Been to Boar Cross'n several times now, and I have to say it's one of my favorite places to stop in Carlsbad. They have extremely reasonably priced drinks. It has always been quite packed every time we stop by, but that doesn't deter us from going. We have had some negative experiences at several other bars in the area, but this one has treated us quite well. Love the pool tables, outdoor area, and accessible bar. Can't beat a cheap night out!
Very unprofessional bouncers at this bar. I was visiting from Michigan and this bouncer told me that my ID was fake. He insisted that he knew it was fake and compared it to his “friends” Michigan ID calling it fake over and over again. He clearly did not know how to identify an ID. He cussed at me and told me to call the cops to get my ID back. The cops arrived very quickly and verified that my ID was in fact real. I did not appreciate the way I was mistreated by the bouncers here and will never come back to this place when I come back to visit. This literally ruined my night! Don’t go here if you’re from out of state or else you’ll have to call the cops to get your ID back. SMH!

Vivianne the bartender had horrible service and her drinks suck !! The ambiance was ok? Music wasn't even playing and with vivianes service and lack of drink knowledge I will for sure not be coming back

last night i went to boars crossing and grady was working he was so beyond the standard of bartending i've seen in carlsbad. By far the most attentive, understanding, and kind service i've seen in a while. i was sad to come back a few times and see him not working. we need some more grady's in the world.
