I read the past harsh reviews but tried it for myself. I always like the vibe at the Windmill. It’s chill. Love the ambience. Prices reflect the nice space at the Windmill. I was prepared to ask for salt bc ppl complained about blandness. It was good to me. Maybe they make it bland bc they are catering to ppl with different taste buds or high blood pressure. Simple dash of salt can fix the blandness. The 3 different salsas were delicious; I added salt in one salsa. The flavor depth of one of the green hot salsas was heaven! Lady who took our order was nice. Glad I tried for myself.

Food was good but expensive

Ordered 2 carne asada tacos and both of them had large chunks of gristle in them. I showed the lady and she didn't say anything. On their sign it says highest quality meats. Pretty lame for over 5 dollars for 1 taco. Much better places than this.

Stay away. They’re only in it for the money. Wasted my time ordering from here. Go to tacos mi jalisco in San Marcos.

Honestly wouldn’t recommend at all unless your and older white woman who thinks pepper is too spicy. The food caters to the atmosphere of people which is predominantly a white community. They put more guac on there tacos than they do meat. And it’s not even guac it’s just avocado. Only thing they had that was good was the salsas and it was expensive for a nasty taste

I stopped by here for lunch one day and grabbed a delicious burrito! They are located in the Windmill Food Hall in Carlsbad. Parking was very easy. The layout was cool and open. Really cool place if you're not sure what you want to eat and you're starving. Haha Lot's of options but I was craving tacos that day. Ended up spotting the surf and turf and had to try it. I am a surf and turf burrito connoisseur. (Wow, I had to spell check that a few times.)Customer service was great. The guy from the coffee shop next door actually helped me when I ordered the food. Seems like they have a good relationship between stands. The surf and turf burrito was huge, flavorful, full of whole shrimp, tender carne, lots of chipotle sauce and it had other boring stuff. It all went together very well inside a nicely toasted tortilla. The cilantro sauce was good too. I will be back here or try out another one of their locations.

After a long day, I was looking for a quick place to eat, and I found El Puerto Street Tacos in the windmill food hall. I ordered four different tacos Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Shrimp, and Carnitas. The shrimp tacos and the Carnitas tacos were fantastic flavorful juicy all around pleasant experience. The Al Pastor and Carne Asada flavorful but the meat was dry. All in all the very good experience. if you're in the area and looking for a place to eat, I highly recommend this taco stand. it may be called street tacos, but be mindful it's in the windmill food hall.

Pretty good taco! The meat was nicely grilled and seasoned. The tortilla is freshly made! Great guacamole

We've been loyal customers for over 8 years, loving their street tacos. So, we decided to use their catering for our baby shower. They confirmed but never showed up. No solutions offered, just a suggestion to pick up tacos during our event. Embarrassing and disappointing. We won't use their services again, and we hope others are spared from this experience.

Catering No Show Baby ShowerExtremely Disappointing Catering ExperienceWe've been a loyal customers for many years, primarily for their delicious street tacos. So, when my husband and I decided to use their catering service for our baby shower, we were genuinely excited. The idea of having their taco tent at our event seemed like so much fun - a way to show our appreciation to our guests. However, our excitement turned into absolute disappointment and devastation. Despite confirming the catering arrangements both in person and via text messages, they failed to show up at our baby shower. To make matters worse, I was 8 months pregnant, and we had relied entirely on them for the food, leaving us with nothing prepared. What was even more disheartening was their complete lack of responsibility. When we reached out to them for a solution or any form of resolution, they offered nothing. The person we spoke to suggested we leave our own baby shower to pick up tacos as takeout! It took them 30 minutes to even propose this, with no offer of an extra discount, delivery, or any effort to make amends. The situation was incredibly embarrassing, especially because we had stated on the invitations that the event would feature "El Puerto Taco Tent: Unlimited Tacos - Come Hungry." This experience has left a sour taste, and we have decided never to rely on them for catering services again. Furthermore, my husband, who often uses their services for work events, has also decided to take his business elsewhere. Pretty sure all the locals guests feel the same way. I genuinely regret having to leave such a negative review for a small business, but the complete lack of effort to rectify the situation left me with no choice. I hope this review serves as a warning to others. No one should have to go through such an unfortunate experience, and I hope the business takes this as an opportunity to improve their customer service.0 stars customer service5 star street tacos

This place is located in the windmill food court. Catalina was at the register. She was really helpful when asked about questions drinks. Got the Pineapple Spinach water. It was REALLY yummy. She gave me samples of the different drinks and I settled on that one. Cool atmosphere and awesome customer service. I'll definitely be back!
