A great spot for some healthy selection of fish products. You get an opportunity to chose your own bowl products. Make it as small or as big as your appetite. It was filling and the meal changes things up for a diverse selection of food. Attend the restaurant by yourself or with some good friends. There are plenty of space in and outside the building.

I literally come here once a week. Can't believe I am just now writing a review! The fish is always fresh! Portions are excellent. I usually south between salmon, tuna, and spicy tuna and swap out rice and salad for the base. Medium spicy for the house sauce and always seaweed salad! All of the staff are super friendly and upbeat. You're always welcomed right as you walk in the door! The restaurant is clean and spacious! It's super convenient being at the mall in Carlsbad but on the outside! Go to Grubbys! You'll love it!

Been coming here for a few years, super good poke! Freshest around oside by far. Only spot I go to that has a soft boiled egg and it makes my experience that much better. I will say their rice is a bit overcooked/mushy most of the time for my taste & they used to cut the cucumber noodles thicker so not that they're thinner they get a little mushy as well.

Food is GREAT!!!!!Ambiance is NICE! Open and Clean place, inside and out. The set up though where the line starts and head out to the door is a bit awkward. And, reason I am giving it only (3) Stars is because they have ALWAYS been understaffed when I've gone in!!!During lunch hours, especially between 12:45pm and 1:45pm, when Carlsbad High School has their lunch break, they should have ENOUGH STAFF to get through their online/phone orders plus the 5-10+ people in like in the restaurant!!!!Very frustrating when there has been one person to help the people in line, one person looking to make online/phone orders and one person either doing the register or in the back doing who knows what!?!This photo must be from their Grand Opening or a Special Event because there has never been more than 3 people working, maybe 4 at one time during lunch. That's not enough.

I had to try this place while at a soccer tournament in Oceanside due to the overwhelming yelp reviews. It's super clean inside and service is excellent. We took 4 build your own poke bowls to go and had 4 large bobas. The fish was fresh but there were some extra chewy pieces that had an aftertaste. They give you tons of add on options and sauces but where our bowls went wrong was the white rice. It was so overcooked and mushy it ruined the whole bowl. The boba was just average. My black tea mango fruit tea with lychee jelly was really sweet. The boys enjoyed their milk tea bobas. The price tag for 3 regular bowls, a mini bowl and 4 bobas was a bit over $100 so it's not a cheap lunch. Not sure if it's worth the price tag.

Tried Poke here for the first time. Wasn't impressed. The place is very clean, great presentation and lots of options. I was impressed by the amount of toppings and different fish options available. Some of the fish in my bowl was a little too chewy and didnt taste right. Maybe it was just that batch of fish. I'd be willing to give it another chance. Ingive the 4 stars based on the positives. I will say compared to other poke places this place is on the pricey side. Give it a try and decide for yourself if you are a poke fan.
