If you’re looking for NOT AUTHENTIC Thai / Lao cuisine, this place is for you.I ordered the beef laab expecting to get a lot of mint cause it’s usually served that way and when the dish came out there wasn’t any. I spoke to the server and she said she saw the chef add some. Clearly no where to be found in the salad but I believed her and I simply asked for extra mint. She comes back out and tells me they ran out. lol. So you didn’t have any mint. And didn’t give me any but swore the chef added some. Haha. The food always is spoiled over silly lies. The beef laab was just stir fried beef over a salad bag you could get at Vons and some chopped cabbage. It was $20. I could stir fry my own beef and get a bag of salad for $6.Crab fried rice was wet and had barely any crab. $18.Tom yum soup was $13 but add the 3 shrimps and it came to $17. lolReally wanted the mango sticky rice but I can’t justify it being $15.What bothers me the most is the service is not for the people. When you make a complain to these people the just shrug it off and pretend they don’t know what you want.

I've been meaning to come here for some time but never in the area when craving Thai food. Finally!!!My first time was a to go order and I neglected to take pictures or do a Yelp posting. My bad.But let me tell you, it was delicious.Let's skip to our second visit. This time we decided to eat here. We went with pad thai and an order of potstickers. The pad thai was cooked perfect and tasty and there was a lot of food. The pot stickers were delicious. On our to go order, we had ordered spring rolls with shrimp. OMG!! Probably one of the best I've ever had. They were big and delicious. When you walk in, you notice the kitchen. So you can kinda see inside. I like that. There's a row of tables. Hard to explain, you just need to see it.Staff is very nice. The two times I've been there, it's not busy. I really hope it picks up.Oh, most importantly, the prices are not bad for the quality and amount of food you get.

please read my previous review first.VERY disappointing second visit to Kinaly Lao and Thai Eatery. totally different experience except that the server (a different one this time) was another good hire with next to no (if any) training. somebody in management needs to spend time getting the front of the house up to speed.ordered the LAO SAUSAGE. seriously overcooked and dry. compare the portion size in the restaurant posted photo on their Yelp page to mine. came up a bit short to be kind. the menu description (with my spelling corrections) says "served with ginger, red chilies, sticky rice, and tomato sauce." see any ginger? see any chilies? had to ask three times for the tomato sauce and when it finally arrived, did not compare favorably with the tomato sauce from our first visit in taste or texture.I'm from the less is better, light dressing school of salads but their LARB GAI was dry. no lime juice, no fish sauce, no palm sugar, just a little toasted rice powder. mint leaves (an essential flavor in Larb Gai) that litter the menu photo were conspicuously absent.you know how when rice paper wrapped FRESH SPRING ROLLS are made ahead and get gummy and chewy? how hard would it be to make them to order? sometimes a little effort goes a long way.the MASSAMAN CURRY with tofu was just okay. if every other dish we ate was better, I might have said it was good but they weren't even close.ps: the couple behind us was thoroughly confused by the jasmine rice that came with her curry and the sticky rice that came with his fried pork ribs. the hostess/server should be able to explain to farang customers that jasmine rice is a side (Central Thai dishes) and sticky rice (Northern Thai, Issan, and Lao dishes) is more of a utensil.

Wanted Thai food while we were up in North County and thought we would stop by at Kinaly. Verdict: Decent Thai and Lao place, but am not sure I'd go out of my way for it. Pros- Pretty spacious, strip mall was full of parking spaces - Attentive service; There's even a button on the table that you can use to call your server - Free Thai tea upon Yelp check-in (it was a little bit too sweet though) - Decent Pad Thai--nothing mind-blowing, but hit the spot Cons - The Crying Tiger steak we got was tough (it wasn't the best cut of meat) and a bit pricy.

Big portions, lots of meat, good flavor. I got the peanut curry with brisket and chicken and it fed me for 2 meals.

Upon arrival - it had this off sewage smell but we tried it anyways. Definitely recommend to air out the restaurant or find the cause of smell. The food was good. The beef noodle was packed with flavor and lots of meats which is totally my type of noodle soup. Would I come back again? Probably not but worth a shot!

The service was great, but the food is not good at all. The Tom Kha is watery and had no lemongrass and the pineapple curry was also watery and tasteless, just slightly spicy.

Ordered dinner for pickup. The food here is not very good. The massaman curry was watery and bland with way too much heat but very little substance. The potatoes tasted like powder and were completely under seasoned. Overall, very thin and worse than curry you could make at home with coconut milk and canned curry paste. The seafood stir fry was mostly mushrooms and pretty bland. Again, under seasoned. The Three Kings was also mostly mushrooms and under seasoned. The roasted duck over rice had four little drumsticks instead of a healthy portion of duck. The soft boiled egg was hard boiled. The bok choy was not even bok choy- maybe spinach.Overall, hard pass.

When I walked into the shop, it was very quiet with just one customer inside. I'm not sure why, as the food I had is great. The restaurant is quaint and clean. Although there was no one up front to take my order for a few minutes, once they came out, I was greeted with a smile and a very polite cashier. She was attentive to my order and very pleasant to talk with. I placed my order to go and then stepped out for a few minutes while they prepared my order. The menu here is robust. I chose the pad see ew with tofu as my protein. I additionally ordered their Thai spring rolls with tofu as my protein. The pad sew ew was extremely flavorful! The portion is huge and actually fed my daughter and I. The flat, glass noodles were tender and packed with flavor from the brown sauce. You get hints of sweet, savory, and a mild hint of garlic as well. There are plenty of vegetables and tofu strewn within the dish. Excellent is what comes to mind when I think about its flavors. The spring rolls were my highlight. The rice paper wrapper was pliable and held up to the heavily stuffed roll. You could taste the fresh flavors of the thinly sliced and crisp carrots, bran sprouts, rice noodles, fresh mint, and crunchy lettuce. The peanut sauce served on the side for dipping was creamy, with a great combination of sweet, spicy, salty, and savory. A perfect compliment to the dish!
