This place was on my list of places to try at the Windmill Food Hall and I was so excited to finally try! I did check out the other spots but I always came back to the Lobster Lab! I ordered the lobster roll warmed with butter, a lobster bisque and chips. The lobster bisque came with little crostinis. The bisque was delicious! It was super hot temperature wise and took a second to cool. The lobster roll came with little micro greens on top, a side of butter and a lemon. The amount of lobster in the roll was impressive and it was delicious! I was obsessed with the lobster bisque and have dreaming about it for days. It will definitely be my go-to on the next rainy day. I chatted with the chef and he was so nice and gave me some information about Lobster Lab. If you haven't eaten here, it's a must try!

Recently came here after a long day at Legoland. My husband ordered the Large lobster roll along with the lobster bisque. He was so happy with his meal as it was a nice change of food compared to the themepark meals we had been eating all day. The lobster was cooked to perfection, fresh, and the garlic butter just accented the meal perfectly. The meal was reasonably priced and my family left very happy! Would definitely come back when we are in the area!

Yummy lobster rolls and lobster grill cheese!! I had the lobster grill cheese first and it was superb! The lobster roll is also excellent! It's hard to choose between the 2. The bread on the lobster roll is so good and so soft! I get mine warm with butter but there is a cold option with mayo. I guess I'll give that a try next time, but I do believe the warm one is better even though I haven't tried the cold option. Customer service is good and they are pretty fast. The ambience is a fun food court spot with arcade games.

Drove all the way from Oceanside to find out they won't take cash. Every other establishment there excepts cash.

The windmill food hall has a bunch of food and drink options to choose from, and Lobster Lab definitely caught my eye immediately! - PARKING - Huge dedicated lot for the food hall, as well as event spaces - people have weddings here! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Huge dining hall, with various seating arrangements from long tables for big groups, to barrels and bar seating for smaller groups. The staff members at Lobster Lab were very welcoming, and had a great attitude! They were excited about each of our choices, which always makes my decision making feel better. After we ordered, it only took around 10 minutes for the food to come out. - FOOD - Lobster Roll (normal - $22.00): We didn't get the XL and this still seemed like a huge portion! The lobster was sticking out from both ends, and smelled so good! We got the butter on the side, but honestly everything was amazing as is! The brioche bun was so soft but toasted perfectly! Lobster Bisque (cup - $8.00): This comes with small pieces of toast to dip, but I wish they gave more! The ratio of soup to bread could have been better, but the bisque was still quite yummy! Caviar (4pc - $20.00): These looked so pretty, I didn't want to eat them! When we did, I immediately wanted to scarf down the second one because it was so good! Definitely a treat to have as they're small for the price, but was delicious while they lasted! - OVERALL - I'd definitely order the Lobster Roll again, and if I feel like treating myself, maybe order another Caviar!

I am a Connecticut native and can confidently say that this lobster roll is on point! The portion of lobster is very generous and cooked perfectly. It’s served with garlic butter and house made mayonnaise which are delicious and worth every calorie. The roll is toasted perfectly and buttered just right. The balance of flavor is perfect. Lobster rolls are not cheap but you will definitely get your moneys worth with this one! The owner Eren and his team are very friendly and hospitable. His love of food and pride in his product is very apparent.

Lobster Roll (Normal) ~$24: Bread was buttery and toasty. Nice presentation overall. Lobster was boiled well so the meat was juicy and had a good bounce. It was a nice first time experience to try it but bit pricey to buy it again.

Yes! Yes! Yes! The lobster grilled cheese is a must buy. The bisque to dip it in is the perfect pairing.

Was recently here with a group of my girlfriends for the weekend. We decided on visiting this spot based on their current reviews. The food did not disappoint. After a long bike ride from Carlsbad to Encinitas, it was the perfect spot for the BEST lobster rolls! The bread was delicious-sweet and buttery and the lobster was just as good. If you prefer larger portions go with the XL roll - you get 6 oz of lobster meat and it's worth it!

The food is excellent! I recommend the lobster roll, soup and lobster salad! The lobster roll comes on this amazing bread! The lobster salad is also amazing. Try it with the sauce on the side.

Overall 2.4/5. Customer service was very lacking. The cashier was not enthusiastic and when my partner asked the difference in portions he gave him attitude. Lobster didnt taste anything special and the portion was okay for the price. Garlic butter didnt have much flavor. The bread was good and the highlight of the meal, but in relation to the lobster it was too much. There are better lobster roll restaurants in SD.

Loved this place! The food was excellent and staff was friendly and helpful. My wife had the salad and it was so light and tasty! Lobster rolls were buttery and delicious! We went back after we ate and told the staff how much we loved the food, especially the salad, and the guy there gave my wife a little plastic container of dressing. I wish we lived on the mainland so we could visit more often! I wish they sold the salad dressing because we definitely buy a bottle.

lobster roll was ok. Very greasy bread. Crab roll was just too much mayonnaise. No taste of crab. Miss Lobster West
