Overall really nice. Staff is great. Very friendly. Hotel very nice but could use a little upkeep to make it a 5 star review. The toilet was dirty and there was a good size chip in the tile of the shower bench. Broken light fixture in the hall. Asked upon check in if I wanted to decline housekeeping services in exchange for giving a meal to a family of 4. So if I want my room cleaned then some family is going hungry? Not going to do that.

Great location and property. It’s important to note that they are doing renovations to the hotel rooms. We were in rooms that were not yet renovated and it’s easy to see that updates are due. One point worth making is that we had breakfast at The Vue restaurant, which has a great view of the golf course. But a flock of birds would descend on tables once patrons left to eat and drink anything left on the table. It was both amusing and somewhat horrifying. You may be better off back a few rows from the edge.

The location and quality of my experience was excellent. The food during the business event was phenomenal. The highlight was the quality of the customer service from the fitness instructors (Celica was amazing!) to the food service professionals to the front desk. I will return for personal travel in the near future to maximize my experience in the future.

Love this hotel resort, great service, kid friendly and water slides a hit!!! Beds so comfy and the shuttle drivers full of great Hollywood stories of the stars that come to this hotel. We saw a few there

From David at arrival to Andes at reception to Sam and Juan at Bob’s steakhouse, staff was excellent. We got a nice villa with balcony overlooking the pool. There are plenty of private places and not too spread out. We also liked having the Marketplace. We’ll done!

Attended a conference at this property. While it is quite beautiful, it is clear that maintenance has been deferred or neglected. Hallway carpet was fraying, plaster was falling apart, paint was peeling, and window frames were rotting. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable. Staff was polite and knowledgeable.

I have to say, the front desk mgt and staff understand customer service. I hit a snag while on property the front desk mgt staff jumped right on it. The rooms, service and property were all 5 star! We will be back! T.Hoston

I had the most wonderful stay! I wish I had planned for a few extra nights. The grounds are beautiful the food selection at the restaurant is delicious and the staff (in every area) were so hospitable. Can't wait to stay again.

This was my first, but hopefully not my last stay at the resort. I was at the resort for business and stayed 4 nights. I arrived around 7pm on a Sunday. The valet and check-in experience was smooth. My room was very clean and the temperature was perfect. Finding a soaking tub in the huge bathroom was a great bonus. The only complaint I have is regarding a slight odor in the shower. I think it was coming up from the drain, not from the water. Room service was easy, prompt and the food was hot. The coffee at Marketplace was delicious and there was a good variety of non-alcoholic beverages. I want to give a shout out to the bell stand and the valet. Their hustle, friendliness and unwavering devotion to customer service, made my visit even more pleasant. I will definitely go back!

Jose at the Vue restaurant, the server who has been with the Vue for almost 50 years - impeccable service. John and Jaime who were coming around with hor devours during our event were also amazing! Cynthia was a wonderful host at the Vue when we came for breakfast and dinner during our stay. Marisol was a very sweet and knowledgeable host at Bar Traza who made sure we were taken care of every time! You guys were all terrific! Oh, not to mention Robert, our first impression. He took the time to show us around on the golf cart and help us with our items to the room.

So many issues!! Booked a 2 bedroom suite. At check they said a key shortage and only gave 1 key. Got to room that was not clean. One bedroom clean the other was not. When I got to the room it had 1 bed when I booked 2 rooms and living room. They asked if I tried other doors. I said no I don’t go around trying random doors. The front staff had no clue and assumed I would try the 2 doors next to me when they didn’t give me enough keys or explain I had the 2 rooms next to me too. Lots of confusion. They only wrote 1 room number on my envelope. Got charged for cancellation on Cabana even though It was 48 hrs in advance $340. I had to call , visit front desk 3 times to cancel. After I emailed about refund and they said they could not issue it on short notice. The service was below all other resorts I have visited.

We chose to stay at the Omni la costa for our wedding anniversary. It was our first trip without our kids so it meant a lot for us. I just want to first start with the positives. It’s a BEAUTIFUL resort. As California natives it felt as it we weren’t local as the outside of the resort and gardening is spectacular and well taken care of. Bobs steak house printed special anniversary menus for us to keep and have us a complimentary dessert. The adult pool was so relaxing and gorgeous. At first everything was great. However the second night I put their bath robe on and found a HUGE cockroach inside the robe crawling on my skin!!! I have a huge phobia of all insects and bugs, I cried and I was so upset. My husband called the front desk to ask for a room change because I refused to stay in a room with a cockroach and the associate who I do not want to disclose on a public review did not even apologize. She just said “oh ok well let me see if I can move you” and we were placed on a long hold. Our first room was in room 742, prime location, near the restaurants, spa and gym. She moved us to the 882 basically to the edge of resort, I felt like I didn’t even see any other guest there. I asked if there was still a garden view that I paid for and she said it’s a view of the golf course, making it sound great but the golf course was under construction and we were looking at DIRT. My biggest gripe is that it was SOOOOO far from everything. Literally at the edge of the resort. During the move, we were also asking if she could just send bell hop to grab our stuff and keep until we came back because my husband had reservations planned for our anniversary. The associate called us back saying bell hop can’t take out stuff without us there, so we waited for bell hop for 15 mins and they never came. We were already late for our reservation thanks to her. We called again and unfortunately didn’t get the nicer lady’s name and she easily told us bell hop will grab our stuff while we get going but need to hold it until we are ready to check into the new room. It was so simple but the first unapologetic lady made it so complicated. She was unapologetic, not sympathetic or empathetic, I mean a cockroach was crawling in my skin and no empathy was felt from me. Oh and then a giant fluffy spider was found in our new room. Picture attached. There’s no picture of the cockroach as it scurried away somewhere unknown which is why I refused to stay in the room. Later that night Donna called me to check how our move was. I told her that we were unhappy but didn’t want the hassle to move again as we would check out the next morning. She was so much more empathetic, she gave us credit to breakfast the next morning and a late breakfast which was nice. At checkout, I requested to speak with a manager. I spoke with Michelle and she was great. I wish I had spoken to her initially instead as she handled the situation so well. She empathized with my panic of a cockroach crawling on me saying “I hate bugs too, that shouldn’t happen here I’m so sorry” and she did compensate us 10% which was better than nothing for the hiccups and frustration for our anniversary. I also want to include that I was not given the complimentary tote bag that came with the carried away package. Michelle kindly gave it to me and apologized that it wasn’t given to me at check in. Overall the resort is gorgeous, but we were just disappointed in how our situation was first handled. For a resort this expensive and luxurious I expect that employees are properly trained in hospitality and situation management. The way it was handled definitely negatively impacted our anniversary stay.

When we travel we always try to book some of the nicest 4 star and 5 star hotels for great rooms, great service, and great amenities. It makes our time away from home easier with the kids. So we picked Omni La Costa and payed the high rates expecting another great and luxurious stay. This hotel did not live up to the rating nor hype. Positives: The staff was amazing and helpful The grounds were amazing and the flowers were gorgeous The pools were nice just need to go early cause super busy at times. Negatives: The room which at a four star you would expect to be great was average at best. I wish they spent as much time updated the rooms as they did keeping the flowers and grounds up to date. The rooms didn't include ropes which is crazy to me for fancy resort so I called front desk they said that was mistake and they would bring four ropes but they never did. The family suite is not a suite like other fancy hotel family suites we stay at it was two conjoining hotel rooms not a family suite. The room just didn't have the luxury that even the Hilton's had nor Best Western plus had on quick travel stops on way down. Needs some updating to be 4 stars. There were bugs in the room which I wouldn't expect at a 4 star. Beetles were crawling on my arm and they had spiders and ants in room. Told front desk they said they would clean and inspect they told us no bugs so when we came back there was a Beetle on coach and spider crawling around near kids feet. So they obviously were just blowing smoke on what they said they would do and just lied. Overall the room just makes the resort not worth going too for the 800 a night. There are so many better resorts in San Diego to stay and spend your money this is not worth it. STAY AWAY UNTIL THEY UPGRADE ROOMS UNLESS YOU LIKE WASTING MONEY FOR AVERAGE ACCOMMODATIONS.

We just spent part of our summer family vacation here. We tend to love to splurge on resorts when we travel and go for a place where our 3 kids under 5 are easily entertained. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the staff especially valet/concierge were always so friendly and accommodating. We were disappointed and surprised that even after arriving past 5pm on our day of check in our room was still not ready and a lot of other guests looked to be very unhappy on our arrival. We were definitely disappointed in the quality of our room, we booked a family suite and although spacious, everything just seemed run down. No robes or extra blankets were provided. On multiple occasions the kids found ants in room and made a game out of smacking them with their flip flops. The shower drain was not working well and backed up while showering and overall there were just a lot of things you’d expect better of four a resort of this class. The kid splash pool and water slides were a great hit but the pool area is limited in size for busy summer days and unless you get there early in the day you’re unlikely to get any pool chairs, it was just hard to not feel like someone was always on top of you. We did find the garden pool to be a nice spot later in the days. Room service and cocktails on site were great, we also enjoyed pizza from market one evening. Overall we’d pick elsewhere for our next stay and would expect a lot more out of a 4 star resort.

Everything was perfect for our family. The staff all over the resort was amazing, our three young kids loved the pool, water slides, food, ice cream you name it! 10/10 and we would highly recommend it to anyone, you will not be disappointed!!
