The chicken is black completely charred. Their grill must not be cleaned I went to get a refund they said they’d make me new chicken but it was still extremely charred and gross.

been here a few times and have been disappointed each time. Today they were out of Gyro meat, not sure how that happens. I got the beef kabob meat "gyro" instead and it tasted like the meat was over marinated and past it's freshness, had a mealy texture. The side salad was mostly Romaine hearts and lacked green leaves. To expensive for what it is. I love Mediterranean food, this is not representative of what it should be.

The food was pretty awful. We ordered a gyro and a beef kabob. We also got fries and a cut up pita. Asked for both sandwiches to be in Pita white I had always thought was the way they were made. We got the food and the fries were cold and the gyro was wrapped in a tortilla. When I took it back to ask for fresh fries they looked at my confused and then told me if I wanted a pita for my gyro, I would have to pay for it. So I decided I would just eat the meat with the cut up pita that I had ordered. Their gyro meet is mediocre at best. They gave me fried but they were the same ones I took back. I try to alway be fair in my reviews and I would say this was the worst Mediterranean food I've had.

Super fun place for a group of people. Something for everyone here, lots of options for kids and adults alike. This place is popular though, so plan to wait for your food and a place to sit. There’s a bar for adults and outdoor seating. We loved it!

Mediterranean Salad with Chicken. Delicious! Lots of chicken that’s perfectly moist and Tasty. It was just what I’d hoped for. Fourth time here, delivered superb again. Best Greek chicken salad. EVER. Gyros salad was fabulous too, but the chicken!I posted a picture of this salad tonight 10/27/23 and unfortunately, there’s very little feta.I always get an extra dressing because it’s so delicious but there was no dressing on the salad this time, only the side of dressing.Also, the lettuce was chopped smaller and the dressing became so watery that it was tasteless.A bit disappointed but I have hopes for a better salad next time.

What a fun place to stop off at. There is so many food choices and every time I have eaten here here, it has been very good. My favorite is the pizza, tacos, fried chicken sandwich and pecan pie. It’s clean here with a nice relaxing g atmosphere. This is my to go to spot to break for lunch on my way to San Diego!

Bad on me not to check Yelp before eating here. Was on a conference call and ordered Taste of Mediterranean - $16.50 and worst Mediterranean food ever. The Babagonoush was more milky than eggplant - didn't realize the cheesy rolls were so dense. Everything else was mediocre at best.

Just so others know. This is mostly food being assembled rather than cooked. The Gyro meat is the thin frozen stuff and not off of a skewer.

Worst food ever. I ordered different items from the menu, and everything was terrible. Waste of 100$. Everything burnt. Meat looked like from last year, warmed 1000 times. Service was also terrible.

I ordered online from this place and I received a message that I would get a text when my order was ready. I waited an hour and my lunch break passed and I never received a text. So then I tried to call they have no number listed on the site. Then after work I decide to go in to ask what happened to my order and the person at the front initially says sometimes the order doesn't go through. Then they realize my order is already at the front and they hand me the order that I ordered 5 hours prior and it had just been sitting out in the open (not refrigerated) and just say sorry. Completely unacceptable to hand someone food that's been out for who knows how many hours.

I'm not sure why this place has such a low rating, I had a great experience!I got the chicken kebab plate. The chicken was so juicy, the tzatziki was flavorful and not watery, the salad was crunchy, fresh, and covered in an amazing dressing, the pita had perfectlydrilled char marks, and the rice was savory and so tasty. I will definitely be back the next time I come to the Carlsbad Windmill Foodhall!
