This is exactly the type of place I was looking for when I was told I had to have tacos while in the San Diego area. Lots of options, tasty guac, drink specials and an awesome patio out back! I splurged on some fancy or premium tacos and everything I had was amazing. Bonus for having a check in offer for a free taco when you check in on Yelp!

We ate here with our daughters soccer team. It was a very busy day in downtown Carlsbad. We got our food easily and found seating for all of us. The food was delicious and the portions are more than generous.

The Carne asada tacos were great, I was told. My Carnitas tacos were dry with no flavor and not juicy like I have had at other places.We ordered the Oceanside burrito with add on fries for $.50 and was charged $3.50.

Sat down for lunch on a quiet Monday and was ignored for 10 minutes. Bar tender came over to the bar (no more than 6' from my seat, with clear face to face visibility) and proceeded to count the change in the register without acknowledging my existence. Got up and walked out. What a joke.

Got the tortas which weren’t bad but the Bloody Mary was definitely nothing special and would not recommend
$$ with minimal meat in entrees, small amounts of beans and rice. Convenient location, good salsa bar.

LOVED Senor Grubby’s! Ate here twice while on my short stay in Carlsbad. The food is AMAZING and so fresh. The tacos (pork belly-yum!) are a must. Highly recommend Senor Grubby’s. My new favorite place in SoCal!

Just reviewing the pollo asado burrito...AND it's one of the better burritos I've had and I've lived in so cal for 22 years. They slow cook and char the chicken and use cabbage and crema inside. I was starving, but I will definitely be going back again. It's gigantic so could easily be cut in half for 2 people. The girls that rang me up were very friendly and the salsa bar has food options for heat lovers like me.

We ate dinner on a Friday evening with a party of 7 around 7 pm. Luckily, we got there before the evening drinking crowd because they got crazy busy about when we were leaving. They made everything perfectly, and the portions were very generous! The man taking our order was so friendly and patient with our large family.Parking: There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant. It was completely empty. I don't think many people know about it.
