It is a quiet restaurant with lots of space. The service was very friendly and helpful. We both had curries, and they were flavorful and had the heat we requested. Also, the housemade coconut ice cream was delicious!

We felt like having some take outs so we ordered from this little Thai place through GrubHub. Cant say much about atmosphere or presentation in person but the food was delicious yellow curry was tasty, sizzling Thai ribs were so soft and flavorful meat was practically melting of the bone and into your mouth served with rice and Gulf of Siam seafood salad was refreshing, light and oh so spicy. We asked for mild level of spicy ness and even that was plenty. Our driver went above and beyond in delivering the food on time still warm and neatly. Thanks !!! Yammo ?????

I love this place. Under the old ownership it was okay, but the new owners have really improved it. The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious. It’s also pretty reasonably priced for the area. I’d recommend the drunken noodles, the pineapple curry or any of the chef’s specials!

This was the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Not only was the food amazing but the service was wonderful. All of the recipes are authentic and originate from the owner’s mom so there’s beautiful history there too. I love leaving a restaurant feeling like the money I spent was worth every cent and going to lovely people. We will absolutely be back!

The place is the definition of a hole in the wall Gem.It's a little place hidden away out of sight across the street from a gas station. The Mexican place seems to be more visible.Well, after navigating the weird parking, you must walk through a small old door, up some stairs where you reach the door to this place. It's very quaint, has a really nice atmosphere. I believe I was there on a Friday or Saturday night and the place was empty.I was seated and order was taken. Our water refilled frequently too. The waitresses always very nice people. We ordered Padseew, Pad Thai and Thai tofu curry, Thai Chicken Curry TomKha and the Desert Combo. The Padseew and Padthai didn't have too much flavor so I had to add some soy sauce. The Pad Thai had a slight sour.Sadly the Tomkha was not the best. Like the Padthai, it had an overbearing sour taste masking the Coconut flavor. It's a real shame because it was ordered in a wonderful flame pot.The real star were the curry and Desert. It was so good! Tasted alot like good Tom Kha coconut. The Desert was a combination of sweet rice, mango and Thai icream. Having them all at once was absolutely delicious. If you stop by I recommend the Curry and the Desert combo.I hope it was a rare slow night. I would not like this place to go away

Some of the best Pad Thai I've ever had! They were very knowledgeable about what could be made gluten free too. The service was great, and all of the servers were the sweetest. Prices were good too. My husband had yellow curry, and it was also delicious! Highly recommend!

Calm dinner atmosphere and great service. The fresh spring rolls are great and I enjoyed the Pas See Ew. Everything we needed our waitresses were quick to help us. They’re so kind and attentive. Would eat here again!

This used to be the Thai Bistro where you could call in orders and ask questions. With Cholada Siam Queen, service does not exist. Call the phone number listed on the website to ask a question and it's "we cannot accept calls on this phone". So we ordered online a traditional dish with peanuts but you get peanuts only for $2. extra to "add peanuts". I get it about peanut allergies. So we paid to add peanuts. We opened the box and there were no peanuts. Also quantities of rice also have gotten smaller since the Thai Bistro days. Thai Bistro was family owned, but Queen behaves like a corporation. Also you must pay by credit card which cost you your CC fee and tips are pre-selected online. I'd rather learn to prepare Thai food myself.

Average at best. Quality about the same as Panda Express. If your starving and really, I mean really, craving Thai food then I guess it MIGHT satisfy you. Other then that, pass on this place. Probably would not recommend this restaurant. Definitely better Thai food out there

This restaurant is located where Lotus Thai used to be. The interior doesn't seem quite as nice, but the food and service are great.I had a bowl of Tom Kha Kai soup which was huge and delicious. I thought she had brought me the larger size, hotpot, but no, the bowl was the smaller size. It holds 16 ounces. I added chicken to it.Then I had the chicken satay appetizer. It was also very tasty. The sauce was flavorful and there was plenty on the side. It also came with a small amount of that cucumber onion salad that I really like.I spilled some of the huge bowl of soup and the waitress was over with a rag in seconds. She didn't make me feel like a clutz, which I figure is good customer service.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian selections.Parking: The lot is behind the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp from the parking lot into the restaurant but I used stairs from there. I didn't notice if there was a ramp inside to get up to restaurant.

Solid Thai food, but there is a lot of competition in the area. It's not the best but it does the job. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4. The service was nice and friendly though and the ambiance inside was nice.

Solid spot for Thai food. Customer service is great here. The Tom yum soup is a great starter. We also did the penang curry and spicy basil fried rice.

We wanted something special for lunar new year - this restaurant exceeded our expectations. The service was quick, friendly and consistent. The food was excellent! The serving size for each dishes was huge. We have already decided to come again on our next trip to Carlsbad.
