Once again Tabu Shabu shined! Their crunchy sauces were off the chain! The Salmon hand rolls are to die for. We got Andrew again and we were treated like royalty. He made our date night special. Can't wait to come back again.

The atmosphere is so fun! I've loved the experience since the first time I tried it, and come back frequently with girlfriends. The friendly and attentive staff makes the experience even better. There has always been a wait every time I've gone, but it is worth it. The spicy miso broth and salmon is my favorite!

First time in an actual hotpot restaurant, great ambience/atmosphere, loved and enjoyed the experience, the server who is named Dillon did a fantastic job for friendly customer service, will be coming back and looking forward to trying their wagyu a5 when they are in stock, also side note the place was very clean!

We come here a lot. It's a favorite of my youngest as she likes making her own meal. I like it because she gets a pile of veggies and she eats them all. High quality protein options too. Wish you'd bring back the Yelp join waitlist option!

This place used to be our favorite restaurant. The last year or so, the quality of food and service has gone down dramtically. This went from a 5-star experience with friendly, fun, and knowledgeable staff to an absolute cluster. I see all these amazing pictures from other locations, and they make the food and presentations look amazing. Our food has been and needed corrections every single time in the last year. Constantly sending food back, asking for utensils, asking for water, asking for the correct veggies. It's just a chore to dine here now. We had a server get so drunk that she forgot to put our order in,l. we waited 45 minutes before asking, she said, "I'm so fucked up, I totally forgot" then proceeded to try to do shots with us. This just ruined the experience for us. Hopefully, they can get back to what they used to be.

This is my favorite restaurant. I go here for pretty much every occasion. All the staff are delightful and it's such a fun experience. It's hard to recommend something off the menu because everything is so good -- but if you need help choosing, go with any red meat for your protein and you're guaranteed to have a good time.

Love this place! I've been to the north park location and was excited to see one opened in Carlsbad. We got there around 530 and the restaurant was full but we were seated right away and the servers were very nice about explaining the menu to us. So many meat options, we didn't know which to choose. We got the sukiyaki and the meats and veggies were so good and we thought we didn't order enough at the beginning but we were actually very full by the end of our meal. Would recommend coming here for an early dinner if you don't want to wait because the wait was pretty long when we left. Definitely will be back!

Came in on a monday night and immediately got seated. Finding parking in this plaza can sometimes be tricky. Sukiyaki broth was great and I love that this place comes with free rice and noodles. The minced radish/garlic/green onions are great too. The sauces were ok and I wish they had a better selection. The ponzu is too lemon-y. I also wish the veggie platter was bigger and had more selection. Meat selection is good but a little pricey. Overall its a cute restaurant to bring a friend, but the food could be a little better.
