I highly recommend this restaurant I had the California burrito tonight. The person helping me was very helpful and I like how he asked if I wanted mild or hot hot sauce instead of red or green I asked for mild, and it was perfect. The service was delivered in less than five minutes. It was delicious and filled me up, and they were very courteous.

This place is a pretty typically San Diego taco shop. They have some pretty great tacos, Al pastor is always my favorite. But with that being said, nothing really makes it stand out. It satisfies my Mexican food craving, however most taco shops can. I crave Mexican food as opposed to Taco Chato Mexican food. I will come back because it is in a convenient location and because it is good. The interior feels like a little hole in the wall Mexican place, nothing too special, but it also doesn't need anything more!

It was very cheap and very yummy! not like the best in the world but very satisfying and not greasy at all which is really nice. plus, im a vegetarian and they had great vegetarian options so i was very happily surprised :) definitely recommend

This is my favorite place. I work nearby and have turned all my coworkers onto thier al pastor tacos. Food is always delicious, thier al pastor tacos are the things dreams are made of! And the staff is always friendly, even when the place is packed with a line out the door. Juan especially is always friendly and courteous. Tacos Chato is an A+ all around!!

Walked in and took them 10 while minutes to notice me and restaurant was empty and I was first to order and the other customers that came after me got there food first don't eat here this place sucks

Had a chicken burrito for lunch and meat was very chewy. Went back a few days later for dinner and it was closed by 7:30 despite posted hours being 8pm. Unreliable schedule.

Went to Tacos Chatos for the 1st time to feed our family of 5. The meal was underwhelming and our rolled potato tacos tasted sour, like the oil they were fried in was old. What a disappointment.

Burritos and tacos are delicious. Ordering and prep is easy and timely. Taco Chato is a lunch sample whenever my family is in town.
This turned out to be a nice find. We were heading back from the beach and searching for food on the way home. We found a pizza place but when we pulled into the shopping center we noticed this place. The pizza place looked a little fancy for us so we came here instead. Man are we happy we did. It has the feel of a authentic Mexican place and we love that. The staff was friendly and they made the food quick. I had rolled potato tacos for the first time because I have never seen that on a menu before and they were GREAT. My Wife had a shrimp burrito that was huge and really good too. If your in the area I would highly recommend this place.

Basic taco shop in Carlsbad. Limited menu for vegetarians. To me it's better to keep on walking the few blocks up Rancho Santa Fe Rd to El Pueblo.

Eh…not up to San Diego quality standards. Al Pastor burrito was so greasy I had to poke a hole in the bottom just to drain it. Grease everywhere.

Was a huge fan of this place I used to eat here every day or close to it,, Loved the fish tacos and El Pastor!! today. I brought my brother to show him the great food but unfortunately when I asked for 2 cups of water. The gentleman said they do not give water as I’m staring right at the water cups about to pay for a $50.00 dinner. I think that it’s absurd and ridiculous customer service. I said I will just go eat up the street at El Pueblo. He said “that’s fine” like the punk he is. so I took my business there and it was amazing and had free water and all the sides you want. It’s very unfortunate because I love this place and ate here so much and bragged about it to everyone, but I will never be bringing anyone here or coming here again after what service I was treated with today… so next time LiL AMIGO with the hoop earrings who thinks he’s tuff man . Just remember what effect this is going to have on your business or your bosses business. because a real business owner would’ve simply given the 2 cups of water that cost probably about .10cents if that ..will now Cost you a life time customer and more to come. Screw this place
