Talk about really cute donuts! There are so many flavors to choose from and after choosing the 12-pack, we regretted not getting a 24-pack so we could try all 18 flavors. From a true donut perspective, these donuts were a bit more cakey, fluffy, and spongy compared to what I'd traditionally think of a donut. Overall, still really tasty and super fun for kids!

Stopped by Windmill Food Hall for dinner after a long day at nearby Legoland. Originally saw mini donuts at another Food Hall a few days prior, but since their staff members were away on break, we weren't able to get it. Given I was still thinking about the missed opportunity, I decided I wasn't going to miss this chance to order them. There's a variety of donut flavors, and I appreciate that the speciality flavors are on one side, while the more typical sugar donut offerings are in a separate display case. I would argue that it would be nice for the plain donuts to be at a cheaper price point, but oh well. Ordered a dozen of mostly speciality donuts, and they are just... okay. Given that we had come around 5:30pm (Legoland closed at 5pm), it was quite disappointing to see how stale the donuts were. They had definitely been made earlier that morning or even the night before because the fruity pebbles on one of them were faintly moist and quite stale itself. That said, they aren't bad, and I imagine they'd be much better if made fresh. I feel like stale donuts could still be sold, but maybe again, at a different price point, so that people know what they're walking into when ordering. Because of this, I am wary to try them again unless I see them being made fresh.

Was looking for a little sweet treat so we stopped by the Windmill Food Hall specifically to try the mini donuts. Nice variety of donut options, friendly service and the dozen we ordered were packaged nicely. I've always loved a good mini donut at the fair and maybe that's my fault for expecting a similar hot and fresh taste. It's understandable they can't make donuts to order, I get it and respect it. Unfortunately that meant the dozen donuts we bought tasted like they'd been in the case for quite awhile. I should say we got there around 5:30 PM on a Saturday night (scheduled to close at 9:00 PM) and the place was hopping. We got a variety that included sugar, churro, powdered, chocolate icing, vanilla sprinkles and vanilla sugar. I bet most of them would be pretty good if they were fresh but we both decided the ones with the vanilla icing (sprinkles and sugar) were not going to be part of any future purchases. Neither of us liked the flavor of the icing. We'll try them again sometime but will make a point to get there shortly after they open in hopes of a more fresh taste.

It's a cute counter inside of a windmill-themed food hall, the setting is charming. The owner has a sense of humor, by greeting everyone with a sign that tapping the glass will scare the donuts. Taking off a star because we found the donuts a tad bit dry and the cashier a bit rude/impatient. Will visit the food hall again, but not this place.

No idea what people are complaining about. These were fresh and fantastic. Our kids loved them!!!!! Especially the cinnamon sugar one. Fantastic! A dozen for 9.99 is a great deal!!
