We had a wonderful dinner at Anton & Michel. The restaurant is of the white tablecloth variety. They have a beautiful interior and a nice patio space which is dog friendly. The service from Argenis was top notch even to the point of noting my diet restrictions noted in the reservation. Thank you Argenis for your great service and attention. My husband and I shared the beef tenderloin tartar appetizer. Very fresh meat with great flavor served on three pieces of baguette. We also shared the red and golden beet salad with feta cheese, which Argenis had split on two plates for us. Nice touch.My husband had the Kobe beef short rib with horseradish potatoes and vegetables for dinner and enjoyed it. I had the duck breast with white bean cassoulet. I asked for it to be done, medium rare and, unfortunately, I think it was overcooked as it was hard to chew, even to the point t of leaving some pieces I discreetly spit out on the plate. Having said that, the dish was flavorful with some heat from the red pepper flakes. Portions of the entrees were generous and presented beautifully. Nice dinner in a lovely atmosphere.

While food and service was very good, I resent paying a 3.5% surcharge to use a debit card. The consequence of that was I reduced the gratuity. Hopefully, Anton and Michel will make good with the server

Restaurant was very nice, food great and service also great. Unfortunately a couple seated very close to us were very loud ( at least the young man was) ..so much so, that other patrons asked to be moved but since we were closer to the end of our meal, we decided to stick it out and regretted the decision. He was obnoxious and i regret not saying anything to him and the Maitre D. Not sure there was much the restaurant could have done. He was young and self impressed and I felt sorry for the lady that he was with.

This is our second time at Anton & Michel's. It was just as great as the first time. The ambience is romantic ... a very beautiful restaurant. Our service was excellent, very attentive. The food was exceptional ... as it was the first time we visited. Anton & Michel will always be our choice to dine at when in Carmel! You are missing out if you have not dined at Anton & Michel.

Absolutely amazing wedding dinner hosted but true experts in the hospitality industry. Loie made communication easy and allowed my maid of honor to arrive before the dinner and decorate the Riverside room for our wedding dinner. The menu was phenomenal and everything tasted delicious. Service was exceptional. They even served our wedding cake from another bakery. Don’t got anywhere else, we won’t. Next time we are in Carmel we will definitely stop by and dine here again!

We love it here! The moment you walk in, you are welcomed with friendly faces. The attention to detail and service is impeccable. The caesar salad flavor was so good! We loved all of our meals.

Wonderful ambiance, service was efficient and friendly but the food was tasteless. Ordered a wine by the glass and the wine was flat. Should have said something but my wife said don't insult the wait staff so here's the heads up. Expensive and overated food.

Beautiful day on the patio by the fountain having lunch. Service was amazing (thank you David). The food was delicious! Lamb shank was the special which was amazing! Consistently a wonderful place to eat!
Wonderful atmosphere, view onto patio. Service friendly, informative, timely. French onion soup delicious. Pork chop moist, tender, very tasty...best I had. Filet tender but somewhat bland taste. Bananas foster excellent. Nice wine selection

Last Saturday, my wife, adult son and I had the misfortune to dine at Anton & Michel. We were seated next to a group of people who acted with complete disregard for their neighbours. Extremely loud conversation, laughter, provocative behavior, etc. At one point, we became concerned that the couple closest to us was losing control. Restaurant management did absolutely nothing to encourage this group to settle down and show a little respect and consideration for other diners. We observed several others leaving the area with looks to real disdain for these people and anger towards the restaurant management. We will never, ever choose this place again.

I was really looking forward to celebrating my birthday at Anton and Michel. I was really disappointed but first the good. The hostess went above and beyond to seat us at a window table and our server was attentive and very nice. We started by ordering a bottle of sparkling wine . The wine was brought to us at room temperature and it was not put on ice. My rack of lamb had a bacon scalloped potato that arrived in a small dish with 1/2 inch of oil on top. My vegetable were hard. My guest rib eye steak with a peppercorn sauce was fatty and the sauce was bland. My other guest had the duck breast and her vegetable was hard as well. I had a lot of choices for dinner in Carmel and was not happy with this choice.its hard when you have expectations of a special occasion and are let down.

Lovely and accommodating staff. Old fashioned menu with a couple of modern twists. Food well presented and delicious. Tables well spaced which resulted in a quiet and peaceful dinner time. Due to a significant rainstorm, staff was able to accommodate our reservation to indoors as we had our small dog with us.
