Ate at Hog's Breath in Carmel,CA on 5/8/2024, a Wed. evening. Firstly, one has to be mindful of street parking; there is a 2 hr. limit. Waiters were friendly. Ambience was so-so, very casual. Nice selection of wines. The Seafood Pasta entree was excellent. Had a Mexican coffee (with khalua and tequila), and it was unremarkable. My dinner partner enjoyed the Crab Ravioli. Personally I was somewhat disappointed.

We went here because it was previously owned by Clint Eastwood who we love but it isn't anywhere we would recommend. It is relying on that past affiliation but the food is not worth the prices. We were only in Carmel 2 nights and we were sad we wasted one of the nights on a sub-par meal.

I made reservations on open table today for a last minute birthday dinner on my way back from SF. I put in the comments that is was my birthday on the reservation. Our waiter never mentioned anything about the birthday and was not very attentive to customer service. The place has a nice atmosphere and the food was average.

We had a perfect dining experience. The food was perfect - I had the salmon- (and I'm picky!), the service was perfect and the ambiance was charming. Thank you for the complimentary yummy dessert with the candle on top - it was my husband's birthday!!!

Overpriced food and poor service. Couldn’t even get a glass of wine with the expensive steak. That said the ambience was good but would have preferred to have gone to one of the hundred other eateries in Carmel.

My husband have been going to Hog’s Breath Inn for year’s. Our first trip to Carmel and we were looking for a place for dinner. We were walking around town, and we just decided to try it. We loved it and now when we go up to Carmel, that’s our lunch or dinner place. Normally we will just drive up for dinner. I’d recommend trying Hog’s Breath Inn. The bar area is separate from the restaurant. Bar area is nice to just sit and have drinks. It has a fireplace inside. I order martinis and they are delicious. The outside seating is really nice, with multiple fireplaces. Honestly I don’t know what the inside looks like. My husband and I have not ever sat inside. Staff are friendly and always polite, and professional.

This place is quite awesome. The food is absolutely delicious and well cooked. The baby back ribs were exquisite and packed a lot of meat on them. The onion rings are also crispy, delicious and flavorful. The food is pricey though, but you will get good portions cooked perfectly, so it's a fair trade in the end. Plenty of good decor of Clint Eastwood as he originally owned the place until 1999.The only downside here is parking is an actual nightmare. Took nearly half an hour to find a spot before I could go inside, so be prepared for that. The parking is the reason the atmosphere only got 3 stars as it does bring the experience down quite a bit.

Food was nice , fairly expensive and felt rushed through . Less than 35 mins in total in the restaurant to eat 2 courses . Took plates away while we were still eating and brought the bill with the desserts .

What an awesome experience! Having dinner at a place owned by Clint Eastwood is a life goal... pair that with excellent food and service, and make it a memorable night :) Highly recommend

Service was excellent, bartender made great drinks. Artichoke soup was fantastic. Double cut pork chop was a tad small but cooked perfectly. Dinner companion had a salad with a crab cake which was cold. Onion rings were quite good. The room is cool and very comfortable. All the servers were very friendly and professional. An enjoyable and value worthy evening.
