The food here is incredible. The warm bread and olive appetizers were amazing. Pizza was delicious too. The excellent food was marred by not so friendly service. The two hostesses were snooty (my pet peeve; why are some restaurant hostesses so snooty? They’re not curing cancer). The waitress seemed mildly peeved at seemingly small requests (refill iced tea). This was our first visit to Carmel and we ate here one evening. We heard they had good pizza even though they offer many other dinner entrees. While we were there for pizza we had some great appetizers - the mushroom soup/bisk, and sautéed mushrooms. So so good. We then shared a pizza along with some nice wine. The place has a unique ambience and decor. I would definitely go back.

Wild mushroom Pizza was delicious, oysters fresh, wine list was good. Service was good but we expected more of a Michelin star restaurant. Recommended when in Carmel. Busy, a reservation is highly recommended.
