Can't beat the price, authenticity, and tasty steak tacos. The house made chips and salsa are fantastic! I also love the neighborhood atmosphere of Milagro Centre that it's housed in. Sadly, I would have given another star, but service is lacking. I've been several times and each time, I hope it's an off day, but I've accepted now that something in my order will be forgotten or take forever or most recently...I was handed a super hot plate that burned my hand to the point that it was bright pink. The nice woman who works there was obviously concerned and checked in on me, but after several disappointments in service, I don't want to go as much as I used to.

The Mexican street food here is unique and very tasty, but only one star because the hours are so inconsistent. I visited 4 times during posted hours and either it was closed or there was no staff in sight. I went yesterday at 5:30, and they were closed although the brochure on the counter said open until 7pm Sunday. I will not go back, despite the excellent food. The hours are unreliable and I've wasted enough time.

Don't bother coming here. Service is horrible. I just waited 10 minutes for anyone to show up and take my order. Nobody was in sight and then comes a couple and a girl comes out and asks them if they want to place an order. Are you kidding me?! I was clearly right infront of the cash register and why don't you bother asking who was first? Just left and won't ever be back.

We've had the elote, the quesadilla, the fresh cucumber juice, and the margarita here and they're all delicious. Prices are good. I would definitely go back.

On Friday, we finally came to check out Chilangolandia, which means someone who proudly comes from Mexico City and I was pleasantly surprised! To start out with we ordered Chips to share, which were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious with avocado salsa and mild salsa from their salsa bar! I also ordered Elote, 5 stars all the way, from the mayo to the cotija cheese! The Elote was presented on a skewer which you could rotate like rotisserie style to evenly coat your street corn with a Chile Tajin "aka" crack seasoning shaker that came on the side, it tasted like salted lime, yum! For the main course I ordered the Lengua Taco which was delicious, especially after sprinkling on some Chile Tajin, which topped it even more up a notch! 4 stars do to the beef coming in thick slabs like a steak with fat around it, instead of finely chopped, luckily their was forks and knives nearby tho to cut it myself and pick up the delicious handmade tortilla! I love how they had a toppings bar as well for tacos with fresh pico de gallo, cilantro, onions and other varieties of salsas, so you could put as much toppings as you want to whatever your liking! To drink I went with a Horchata, which was good and I liked seeing the fresh rice, which means they're made fresh for each customer! I was sad that I accidentally knocked over half the glass, so I can't really rate it, next time! I would definitely recommend checking out this real authentic Mexican street food style restaurant that's owned by Senor Ernesto Delgado, who also own's Mayahuel, La Cosecha and Mesa Mercado! I know I'll be back to try more off their menu, especially their desserts, I mean a caramel or vanilla cream stuffed churro with a side of hot chocolate? My mouth is watering just thinking about how incredible it's going to be! I need to check out their other restaurants as well, hopefully soon!

Ate at Chilangolandia's Taco bar yesterday. Was not disappointed. Second time eating here. Their Lenqua and Pastor Tacos are to die for. Jose makes the best homemade tortillas. It is a very friendly place to stop and have great tacos. Their Elote (corn on the cob) is spectacular. I drive all the way from Fair Oaks just for these three items. I am never disappointed in the food or the service. The service is fast and Jose makes your meal very enjoyable. Will be back again and again to try more things on their menu. Deby B. Fair Oaks, CA

Finding great taco spots that do handmade tortillas is a gem. I stumbled into this restaurant while exploring the Milagro Centre. The restaurant is in the center behind the Mercado. I went for taco Tuesday around 5 pm. My wife and I were there along with about 2 other groups. The inside is a modern look, with the open market feel. It is adjacent to two other restaurants. Chilangolandia is pink with a fresh salsa bar out front, you can't miss it. The food was great. First off for me a taco is only as good as the tortilla that it's on. Boy are these tortillas great. They are handmade!!! I walked up and there was literally a big lump of dough for tortillas and the lady at the counter was shaping up tortillas as we put our order in. The taco toppings were awesome as well. I was going to order my usual 4 tacos but I'm glad I didn't. I ordered 3 and boy they are full size tacos. I ordered 2 al pastor and 1 asada taco. They were amazing. Fresh flavors and great tasting tortillas. We will definitely be back. On taco Tuesday the tacos were half price.

Only bad thing is the wait but the food is amazing very authentic and delicious. Me and my mom came I ordered a taco de asada and a pambazo and my mom ordered a quesadilla and a huarache! The aguas frescas were so delicious!

Too bad. They ruined a good thing for taco Tuesday. Raised their prices and and dummed down the selection to just chicken or pork. Lame

I have to disagree with the positive reviews. With a few significant improvements, this place would be okay. But they really need to get their act together in terms of both the food and the service. Even then it would be a questionable value proposition. I love street food in Mexico. I love Mexican street food in the US. There isn't much about this place to love. In fairness, the food has potential. The tortillas are excellent, but the meat on my wife's tacos al pastor was cut way too thick, with big chunks of totally inedible gristle. And my huarache was tough on the bottom; I suspect it had been sitting around too long given that they were pressing a fresh batch while I ordered (mine came out of a drawer). This is especially inexcusable considering the prices. I know things are more expensive NOB, but $3.50 - $4.50 for a single taco is hard to justify. There are dozens of taquerias in the Sacramento area - and at least a couple in Carmichael - that serve better tacos at half the price. One might think the extra cost is due to ambience. One would be mistaken. The all-concrete interior makes for terrible acoustics; you can't hear your dinner companion, but the shrieking children at the foosball table in the middle of the seating area come in loud and clear. The tables and benches appear to be homemade, and aren't particularly comfortable. They're also starting to splinter in spots, and they wobble so much that I nearly lost my beer when someone sat down at the far end. It is not a pleasant place to spend time. Even considering everything else, my biggest complaint is about the service. It's atrocious. I was charged for a beer (Victoria - nothing exotic), but didn't get it when I paid. In fact, I had to ask four times before someone went to fetch it. I finally got my beer after 10 minutes or so, by which time my food was cold. To add insult to injury, I was shortchanged and overcharged. After paying I was informed that my beer was $10, not the $4 I'd been charged. So I needed to come up with another $6.48. I reached in my pocket for the $0.53 change I should have been given on my initial order, but there was only $0.28 there. When I told the cashier he'd shorted me a quarter, he just stared at me. So I shrugged, paid the difference, and went back to my table, where I looked at the receipt and found that I'd been charged $2 extra for adding non-existent carne asada to my huarache. All in, we paid $30 including tip for two tacos al pastor, a huarache with imaginary carne asada, and a beer. That would be a really good deal if the $ were Mexican pesos, but these were US dollars. There's absolutely no reason to pay this much for mediocre food served by an indifferent and incompetent staff in an unpleasant environment.

I love this place! Handmade tortillas, quesadillas de chicharrón prensado, awesome salsas and the closest I've had to a taco al pastor from Mexico. Great service. Also delicious Margaritas!

What a disappointment. $4 for A taco? I don't think so. They really cut down the menu. No more burritos, tortas or really anything. Just 3 kinds of tacos, huarache, quesadilla, and pambazo. Just spend your money elsewhere. Just an utter disappointment. What a waste of a remodel.

Very disappointed as I just drove across town to try the tacos here... when I arrived an employee told me that they aren't open until 430pm ... when I asked if that was listed anywhere online she didn't respond and when I told her I was bummed out that I just drove through traffic from the other side of town, she didn't apologize but said "well have a nice day". Not a good look when it comes to customer service here. :(
