It wasn't what I hoped for! We ordered online to pick it up. It was Friday night after we got there with the order is ready message, there were a family waiting before us to be seated and we all kept waiting and waiting. Funny part is, there were a lot of staff walking around and passing by. I told my boyfriend to walk around at the mall because it is a very nice ambiance with all the small businesses. In the meantime, I approached to the bar area to figure out where the online order food would be. Staff person there said they will bring it to us when it is ready, I thought it was ready but anyways, online system makes mistakes. So we kept waiting with the same family in front of us. Few minutes later I saw a senior man passing by with an online order bag and I followed his tracks back to where he came from the other side of the bar just to find my order sitting there! So I checked the name, it was my order, I told the staff person at the bar, this is what I was asking, where would I find my bag and she said it shouldn't be sitting there! Anyways! We took the bag and ice cream from Ghiotto Gelato and came back home expecting a nice dine at home night... but no. Our order was missing a horchata and in the description of these very delicious tacos says and quote "Three large tortillas..." we only but two! Very disappointed! My two stars are for the tasty tacos but that's it.

Service dogs are not welcomed. It was very disappointing to be greeted by the host with "pets are not allowed". My friends service dog had a vest on, it was clear that he was not a "pet". The host went to get his manager, who came over to clarify that it was okay to have the dog inside, but in case other customers could be bothered by it, asked if we could sit at a table off to a far corner in the restaurant. It was highly disappointing that the manager did not have the professionalism to acknowledge that service dogs are supposed to be welcomed and could be sued for the inappropriate greeting we experienced.

Ordered the Oaxaqueno mole. Chicken was very bland. The mole had lots of Ingredients but for some reason it was still missing flavor, together it was not great. I couldn't finish the plate due to lack of appetite after a few bites, not because the serving was oversized. The rice was great. Overpriced for less than mediocre food. Presentation of the food was probably the best. Server was nice, we waited for the check longer than expected. We went for my mother's birthday, she received a churro with whip and a candle on top. Needless to say, we didn't take any of our leftovers, which for the amount of food we ordered and left behind, normally, we would have. Gelatos next door is AMAZING.

Service was horrible and food was mediocre. Many other places to try. The drinks/margaritas were weak.

It was a Friday night. We had to wait for 10 minutes to be seated so we was ignored. We finally had a seat and took about five minutes to get us some water. Upon placing our order the waiter was a bit rude trying to make me eat pork in my burrito because it come like that he stated. I explained to him I don't eat pork or beef, so he was able to substitute the meat for me. The food was amazing. I was surprised. But once we was done eating, he asked us if we wanted to check we said yes.... He never brought check back . After 15 min we had to stop another waiter. .... Overall experience is a three -the food I will give a five star.

This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. Instead of chips and salsa they serve you mango. You can get guacamole made at your table and the menu includes pozole. The downside is they automatically add a tip for the chef after adding the tax. I wasn't sure of what to leave the waiter.

If you really want a fresh Mex?! This is the best of the best unless you go out of the country. I'm so serious about this. Service is a bit slow but the food and atmosphere makes up for it. Not in the greatest part of town but the whole shopping center is like nothing else in the area of Sacramento. I can't even recommend a certain dish because they are a superior! They have this raspberry sauce that's to die for! I would go just for that it's self! A must experience! The entire shopping center is surrounded in giant lit up palm trees and in the middle is a walk-in fireplace with two waterfalls on each side, weekend live entertainment music and market! It's a blast! It's kinda tucked away but it's a beautiful place that feels like your entering another country without leaving home! It's awesome

Very poor customer service. I don't recommend this restaurant. I walked in, and live music was playing customers sitting around eating their food. I walk up to the main counter to get an order of food to go. I was in the next building over. The guy at the counter said yes, Senor? I said I would like to order some food to go. The guy at the counter said. You can't order any food. This is a private party! Yet their front doors were open for business. Im thinking you shouldn't have your doors open then. Put up a sign or something! I didn't see any sign stating it was a private party. This restaurant gave me the impression that the restaurant was completely open to the public. The restaurant is open until 9:00 p.m. A message to the management of this restaurant. I get it if you hold private parties. At least lock your doors and don't give a false impression that your restaurant is open to public when it's not. When you hold private parties. That's just poor business practices. No customer should be turned away like I was. LOCK YOUR DOORS!! If you're holding a private party or event. It's not rocket science!. I give this restaurant a 1 star. No customer should be turned away unless they're truly closed after business hours. For real Very poor customer service. I don't recommend this restaurant. I love Mexican food, especially Mexican food with original Mexican flavors. Mesa Mercado is a stand out and serves real Mexican food, not the typical flavorless stuff in most restaurants. I've traveled many places in Mexico and Mesa Mercado is as good as any I've found south of the border. Not just good to eat, this food is good to look at as well. They take the time to present their food in an appealing and mouthwatering way. The margaritas are varied in flavors, including a lavender margarita, and because margaritas are always fresh made with real lime juice, I predict you won't find a better margarita anywhere. The decor at Mesa Mercado is just as spectacular as the food and drink. Walk in the door and you'll feel like you are on vacation in Mexico. Lot's of lively colors and Mexican folk art adorn the space. I don't live in the area but it is always worth a drive to dine and drink at Mesa Mercado. Hasta luego, Gustavo. See you again soon.

We absolutely loved our Asada Tacos, Poblano Soup and Salad. I actually liked this place better than Nix tacos and other places. We will be back. Try the Poblano soup, absolutely delicious. Parking is great and our service was very good. I have my go to restaurant for my future birthdays.
