Yesterday March 5th taco Tuesday started calling at 7pm till 7:30 to order take-out. Phone busy! Went in and phone was off the hook! And the restaurant was empty.
Food is okay. Chips are ALWAYS awful. Never Fresh. Chips are made way in advance, usually over-fried and burnt. They sit around in bags all day (or days) and get more stale as the day or days go by. In the "old days" when Rudy ran things, everything was always fresh. Why can't they just make fresh chips throughout the day? Come on Rudys, you can improve quality if you want to.

Tried this place a couple times. It's a little pricey and not very tasty. The salsas suck too. Not a good Mexican food spot!

Have eaten here 20 times and was disappointed nearly every time--I am an idiot for thinking it's going to be good, because one time it was good, and the other 19 times I was super let down, like really not worth the money, and you're going to be mad. If you order take out, your order has a very strong chance of being completely wrong, or nothing like the menu description, 90% of the time. If you're dumb enough to gamble on the burger, it is nearly inedible, and won't be prepared how you ask. If you order extra sauce or salsa on the side, and pay for it, don't be surprised if there's none whatsoever when you open the bag. Our family rolls our eyes whenever someone wants this local chain restaurant, you NEVER get what you ordered. If you order crispy tacos, don't be surprised if they are nearly burnt on the outside and partially frozen inside. Yada yada, industrial corporate Mexican food is gross. And they are super weird about chips, pay $100 for several meals and they still give you the same amount of chips as if you ordered one meal.

I always love going to Rudy's. Their food is fresh and delicious. I had the taquitos and they were very good and they're guacamole is delicious.Parking: Rudy's is inside a strip mall. There is plenty of parking out front which is free. With a close walking distance.

This place never disaapoints! Huge portions of tasty Mexican fair for very reasonable prices. Different salsas to add extra flavor to your meal and fresh sliced limes make a nice tangy flair. A really awesome Carpinteria restaurant. Always make it a point to eat here when I visit !!

Terrible customer service!!! I tried to place a to go order and waited on hold for over ten minutes. Finally hung up and called back. Explained to the employee what had occurred and just got attitude. "It wasn't his fault". Take a second and let the person on hold know you will be with them in a few more minutes. Basic customer service. When my wife arrived she said the place was empty.

If your looking for great ambiance it was clean but this wouldn't be the place to go. The service was very good. Came here for lunch and really enjoyed the food. I had the chicken tostada which was fresh and very filling. There is no lard in the beans which is a plus for me. They have a great variety of salsas to try on the side that were very tasty. They even use card board To go boxes. Would defiantly go back.
