Excellent Healthy Mexican Food (A little pricey, but most likely due to their organic/high quality ingredients). #1 Chicken California Burro

I went here with a friend about 2 years ago and bought a carne asada burrito, we both got the same thing and loved every bite. It was priced at around 11 dollars with tax which seemed reasonable for the quality of the burrito. We recently went back and we both thought we'd try a second round of the carne asada burrito. The carne asada burrito now cost 15 dollars! You get no drink and between my friend and i they only gave us a small bag of 3 tostada chips! I know i sound like a cheap a** but that isn't cheap for getting skimped out on chips and salsa and a comparably smaller burrito than what I'm used to from my local spots. I know many other establishments that could beat the price and amount of food you get for how much you pay. Hell, i could even take that money to the grocery store and make a few burritos out of that instead, might not be as good but i hope you are getting the point. All in all the burrito was still fantastic and every bite left me wanting more, sadly i think they have priced me out as price per portion seems unreasonable but if money isn't an issue and you aren't that hungry i would recommend the carne asada burrito. If i could rate this a star and a half i would out of respect for the single chip and a half i had to share with my buddy. I don't even want to know how much chips you get when you pay for them.

Been going to this establishment for years. I'm glad they kept their quality consistent even during COVID. The food quality, quantity, flavor, taste, and value is top notch. Can't wait to go back.

I highly recommend this place. The egg breakfast beef burrito is so so good because of the special sauce they put in there. Super yummy and will be back!

First time to visit this location Not disappointed, Bought fish tacos and carne asada tacos. A little bit pricey but the tacos are flavorful as compared to other tacos around the area Good customer service Will be coming back to this restaurant

Very good flavors. The Super Nachos can easily feed two. The California burrito with asada was very good. Also had the bean and cheese burrito. I'll be going back to try some more. Food was terrific. The salsas were very good to. The green salsa was my favorite. Inside is very small. One table inside and there was one table outside. I had placed my order to go. This was my first time here. Very friendly service taking my order and food was ready within 10-15 minutes. Very close to home too. I'll be in regularly.

First of all, AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! Being from California, I've had a lot of Mexican food from various parts of Cali and also different States, to include Mexico. Currently living in Torrance for 2 years and it's been tough finding a good Mexican food spot. Decided to venture a bit further out and found Pura Vida Mexican Food. Extremely pleased to say that for the duration of our stay, we will be repeat customers every time we are craving a Mexican meal. Prices were very reasonable and portions were HUGE! Customer service was also fantastic.

My cycling buddies wanted to get some eats after a long day on the saddle. One of the guys brought up Pura Vida since we were heading east from Redonda Beach. First time there. I had a carne asada torta and a hard shell chicken taco. Food was great. The torta was "larger" than most places. Basically half was the common size of other places. Taco was great with em their spicy salsa. Linda was an awesome employee. Will be back to try other items on their menu

I heard alot of good things about this Mexican restaurant so today was the day that I decided to see what the hype was about. I've been craving some goooood Mexican food and yes they did delivered!! I ordered the shrimp nachos and the portion size was more than enough. I was able to eat off of it twice and share. I also ordered a few deep fried jalapenos on the side*sorry not pictured* and they were delicious too.I was very undecided on what to order because there was so many eye catching items to choose from but the cashier was a big help. He was very patient and went through the entire menu with me, letting me know about the popular items as well. The portion sizes of their menu items are amazing, not skimpy at all. I was curious about the fish tacos and he showed me the size of the fish that goes in a taco and I was blown away you guys!!! Seriously. If you want a real fish taco this is where you come, no baby fish over here lol. Pura Vida definitely value their customers hungry tummies LOL.Now, let's get into the taste.. These nachos were very much packed with flavor, good shrimp size portions, fully loaded with veggies and your typical nacho topping. The chips used for the nachos got a little soggy but it was expected due to how loaded they were. I definitely recommend checking out this place, if you want authentic filling mexican food Pura Vida got you covered. My overall experience was great and I will DEFINITELY be back

The vegan burrito is huge, takes two days to eat. However it is very delicious. Good Jamica as well.

The food is amazing. The taste is on point from the meat to the accompaniments to the salsas. The chicken is moist and flavorful. The beef chorizo is flavored perfectly where you taste the spices but the beef flavor comes through. I would have liked the carne asada to be proper carne steak rather than chopped pieces of beef. The wet burrito and chimichanga are my favorite items. Followed closely by tacos dorados with potato and the chicken pozole verde. The customer service is friendly enough- it's busy so they get your order and the food is ready on time so you can be on your way. Of course, I'm thrilled that they are halal.

We placed a large order for my son's birthday/ family Easter luncheon. The wet burrito California and Original chicken and asada were delicious! The ceviche was fresh and tasty . The garlic butter prawns were scrumptious. The beef taco dorados were a crowd favorite. The fish tacos were yummy. The Kids loved the beef quesadilla. My family loved everything we served from this restaurant. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem - Mexican Halal food served with love. Generous portion sizes and good service. Tried the following items and loved them all: - Chicken burrito - very flavorful - Carnes Asada - fries with beef, veggies and sauces - really hit the spot! - a variety of tacos with chicken and veggies in a crunchy shell - quite delicious! - Horchata- cool rice milk beverage They gave complimentary nachos on the side. Also shoutout to their sauces - we got four different types and for each hot sauce, there was a mild version. Very interesting artwork in the restaurant itself.
