Amanda did a great job on our wedding desserts! Everything turned out exactly as we asked. We got to do a tasting of the flavors beforehand to make our choice for the cake, which was really helpful. Pick-up for the tasting cupcakes and communication was always easy. She delivered the desserts to our venue and helped set up the cake decor, which turned out beautiful.

I have order form this place a few times, they offer a lot of fun seasonal specials! The cookie kits are so much fun to do with kids. I recently found out they do custom cakes as well and will be reaching out for an upcoming celebration.

I contacted Amanda a couple weeks prior to my daughter's birthday. Her communication was outstanding. She was happy to discuss my vision and provided me with options for my custom tea party sugar cookies. I was messaged promptly the morning of delivery and updated once the no contact delivery was made. The cookies were exactly as we had discussed with great attention to detail. On top of everything else, the cookies were delicious. I have never posted a review on Yelp but knew that Amanda deserves the praise. 5 stars!

Working with this company was easy and stress free. I was able to order online and was contacted with a quote. Once the order was finalized I was sent the pick up detailed, the were clear and easy to follow. Pick up was simple and safe. We enjoyed our special cake, it was absolutely delicious.

I am reviewing my experience during the pick up of my order and not the cake. I haven't yet tried the cake and hoping it tastes great for my husband's birthday. I was scheduled for a cake pick up today and arrived at the home address stated on the email from Kim. Upon arrival, there were no noticeable signs that there was a Desserts First business, so I wasn't sure if I had the right house but I rang the doorbell anyway. The front door opened and a Man was at the door with the porch screen closed. I was expecting Kim at the door, so I asked for her and he said she wasn't home. I then went to my phone to confirm I had the right address and he said yes. Then I asked is this Desserts First, and he said oh you're here for a cake, hold on. A few minutes later Kim came out with my cake and it was fine from there. If you're going to have a home business where people are allowed to pick up cakes at your home and you provide your address to customers, just try and not to make it uncomfortable and greet your customers without pre-judging them. It was the most awkward experience of someone lying that Kim wasn't home when I was supposed to pick up my order. Yes...I am African American if you all were wondering.

Off the grid food trucks rotate at our friends' complex every Wednesday, and this week there were cupcakes! We couldn't decide, so we got one of each and split everything between 4 people because you only live once/hump day/*insert any other reason to go each a bunch of sugar on a random weekday*. It was great! My favorite was the banana cream pie, and everyone else's favorite was the spiced caramel apple.

I have ordered some custom themed birthday cakes for my family from Amanda at Desserts First, and she has done a beautiful job!! She gives so much attention to detail with the decorating, and the cakes have been absolutely delicious! Moist, flavorful and special. We have also purchased cupcakes from their food truck and love those as well. So many flavors and varieties - a definite treat!!

We planned a bridal shower for my daughter and decided to contact Desserts First to see if they could put together a dessert bar for us based on all my favorites. I have hired them in the past and never had to worry about the end result so I felt confident that it would be fabulous....And it was!! Everyone at the shower raved about all the delicious treats and wanted to take some with them when they left! There were assorted mini cupcakes, salted caramel bars, stomper bars, and a new chocolate yumminess that they were trying for the first time! I couldn't be happier with how it turned out - thank you Amanda for helping to make my daughters bridal shower a huge success!

I met Desserts First at a wedding fair and tried their Swiss Buttercream which is amazing and I think the cake was mango. Flawless! Not too sweet, moist, perfect bite so I scheduled a tasting for wedding cakes. Scheduling is easy and online... but then they don't honor your appointment. I booked 3wks in advance a wedding cake tasting and Desserts First called me and we planned out about 12 flavors to try. I asked for the address right then and they put me off saying they move around, they'll send it later... etc red flags. Then, the week of the tasting they never confirmed or sent me the address. I called them for hours the day of the tasting and no one ever got back to me! Chasing someone I'm trying to pay hundreds of dollars to for something as important as a wedding cake is soo unprofessional and my appointment should have been enough. Ridiculous customer service and days later still not getting back to me or explaining why they flaked. Wasted my whole day on them calling multiple numbers for nothing and with my wedding in 7wks I wouldn't trust these guys to show up anyway so I'm not even going to attempt giving them another shot. Brides beware!
