Let me get the bad out of the way first. I ordered the hard shell beef tacos and the meat seemed like it had been boiled without much, if any, seasoning and then put in a blender. I've never seen anything like it. I took the taco apart after a couple of bites to make sure there was actual meat in the taco because I couldn't taste it or feel any texture. I love tender meat but this was not tender, it was something else. I ended up taking the taco apart and using the shell and cheese to scoop up their amazing beans and rice and that was lunch. The shells were big, fresh and with just enough crunch and their spicy salsa is great. Also, the service was very friendly and didn't make me feel like I was an inconvenience, big plus!

Loved this place great customer service told the lady we were in a hotel. Make sure we had plates. The food was super delicious and plentiful. Will include some pictures if I'm back in Southern California I will definitely be back

First sign it will be disappointing is there were no customers the entire time we were there. We were the only ones. Beans are from a can, and the tacos were meh. They gave a large selection of food items, but I wouldn't say it's authentic Mexican food.

Nice place and this review is just for their breakfast, which was just average.I was hoping for breakfast tacos, because their lunch taco reviews are good. But they don't have any. Only burritos. Disappointing, since it doesn't take anything different to make tacos than those.Had Huevos Rancheros, pictured. Nothing much to say about it. Good amount of bacon on the side. Eggs werent that fluffy. Just ok.

I just called to see how much is your shrimp cocktail and the price is not even decent. 14$ for a small size and 25$ for a larger size. That's ridiculous! You guys might as well celeb with Castenedas since you guys have the same pricing for the cocktail.

I had ordered the #5 combination plate that came with 3 rolled tacos,cheese enchilada w/ beans and rice. Also, I ordered 2 soft ground beef tacos ala carte. The portions were great. I will definitely eat here again. Prices were pretty reasonable as well.

Don’t know what’s up with all of these other reviews but I just had the guacamole, carne asada tacos, carnitas tacos, cow tongue tacos, and fish tacos…. EVERYTHING WAS INCREDIBLE ??? cannot recommend this place enough!!! Love love LOVE Las Carretas ?

Had the #1 combination. Worst mexican I've ever had.Part if the tamale was so hard, like plastic. Taco was fried was in very old oil. Enchilada was just as bad. Seemed like it was frozen and reheated. The service was quick.
