We were looking for coffee shop and found this delightful French bakery. Sat at table in front window and people watched. Inner courtyard patio area. Great lattes and raspberry croissants for breakfast. They had full breakfast as well. In quiet edge of French quarter on urselline st. Near French market

This cafe is not to be missed. It's one of the rare spots in the French Quarter where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee (or latte...) and munch on a quiche or a dessert or a fruit salad. We liked it so much we went twice during our trip. Since it's on the far end of the Quarter, it isn't overrun with tourists. There is plenty of seating too. It is only open for breakfast and lunch though. Be sure to check out the interior courtyard while you're there.

Croissant D’Or Patisserie is a quant place for breakfast. It seemed to have regulars there the staff knew by name. That’s always a good sign. I had a chocolate croissant and my husband had eggs, bacon, and a croissant. It was all perfect! There are 2 eating areas. The main area and a courtyard. If you visit Croissant D’Or while in New Orleans, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

A culinary delight and a delight for the eyes, both food and decor. This is such a pretty cafe with quality food and the staff are just beautiful. No confusing the origins of the venue, absolutely stunning.

Definitely tastes more American than French. Rather expensive too (expresso shot is $4). Too bad, because the premises are nice.

Fantastic, authentic pastries and food. Had an almond croissant and avocado toast, and both were incredible. Lovely little spot, too. Can get a bit crowded, but as long as people aren't lingering it didn't seem to be too much of an issue. We would definitely go back!

This is a house, there is no bakery here

I had the cheese danish. It was good. It was more like a brioche and not flaky like I am used to. I am not complaining! Overall good experience. I would go back and would recommend it. A little pricey but this is now the new normal.

We went here on the recommendation of Lonely Planet book. It doesn’t look much from kiddie snd needs a coat of paint. The breakfast was excellent 2 eggs east over, Croissant, and bacon it was delicious. If you get coffee you can fill up as much as you like. The big downside was the toilets which are very grubby.

I really wanted to give this sweet spot the highest rating, but I cannot for several reasons. On the plus side, all wait staff were pleasant and welcoming. The decor is shabby-chic meets cozy French, which I liked. Unfortunately, the food was hardly mediocre. My ratatouille omelette was tasteless and swimming in grease. My “buttery” croissant was a limp rendition of what should have been a delicious treat. My large latte was lackluster and lukewarm. Overall, this place was a trifecta of culinary disappointment when I was there.

Was very disappointed after we first cast our eyes on the dirty store front thinking at first that it was closed. Decided against purchasing anything after walking in because items didn't seem worth their posted price.

We were staying at the Hotel Provincal and discovered this quiet little cafe around the corner on Ursuline. It was so good that we went three mornings in a row! The staff were really nice and the service was quick. The croissants, of course, are amazing. Probably the best I've ever had. The first day I got two over easy eggs, a croissant and a hashbrown. All so good. The next day I got a egg, ham and cheese croissant sandwich. That was probably my favorite. And the last morning before our flight, I just got a croissant because I wanted to eat light. They also had really good unsweet iced tea. Would recommend to anyone visiting the French Quarter! :)

What a delightful surprise. We dropped in for breakfast, we ordered Croque Madam, French toast and avocado Toast with croissants to go. The food were freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. We will be back
