Very small inside, so if you don't get there early enough, you have to sit outside. Loud inside, too. The eggs and home fried potatoes were regular diner fare, but the sausage stood out. These were nice-sized breakfast links cooked perfectly to be a touch crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The coffee was hot, and they kept it full.My only complaint is the price. Two eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast was $14. Coffee was $5. Inflation has ruined the restaurant business. It shouldn't cost $50 for two people to have a basic breakfast.

This place was good!!! We tried it in passing and found everything we ordered to our liking! Coffee refills too! Small place but has outside dining. Friendly staff.

If I could give more stars I would! Best monte cristo sandwich I have EVER had. I’m from Arizona but every time I come to California I make time to stop here and eat. SO GOOD. 10000/10

Nice little brunch spot where you can gather with some friends and enjoy some good vibes. However, the food here is not great flavor wise. I ordered the chicken Katsu with waffles and was left disappointed. The katsu chicken was perfectly crispy and tender but had absolutely no flavor. I would come here for the vibes but not the food.

I'm writing this review with a sight hesitation. You know the feeling you get when you like something so much you want it all for yourself? Sunny on South gave me that feeling. I went there for breakfast twice in one month, which is too often for me. I want this place to be there for me from now on, but I don't want to have to wait 45 minutes for a table. However, the wait will be worth it! This place has amazing food and great service! The first time I went I had the Short Rib Birria Benedict (ridiculous)! And I asked the waitress to leave the menu so I could see what else was available. As I was eating I found myself wondering what I was going to order the next time I went. I'm a sucker for a Reuben sandwich and they have a Monte Cristo! That's what I had the second time. The Monte Cristo says they "politely decline substitutions" because they prepare them in-house ahead of time. How bad-ass is that?! The service was friendly and attentive...and the 90's/2000's music made me want to hang out and enjoy a great morning. It's easy to give a restaurant 5 stars when they are good and down the street, so I rarely give 5 stars. But this place gets 5 stars because it's worth going out of your way to eat there. YOU HAVE TO GO!

What a surprise! Nestled in neighborhood business complex lies GREAT food! MIL loves breakfast, Belgium waffles to be precise. She was SOOO happy! BW topped with Nutella drizzle, fresh strawberry slices & a generous dollop of whipped cream. It looked great, tasted great, & was beautifully presented. Crisp & light. Winner! 5/5 Since I'm not a breakfast food fan, took the waitress' advice & ordered Shrimp & Grits. (Her other fan favs: Rueben Sandwich & Shrimp Po boy). This was REALLY good! In the middle of Cerritos! Yes! It's possible! Creamy grits, not salted, which works out since the sautéed Cajun style shrimp with onions & red bell pepper has enough flavor. Grits topped with cheddar cheese too. Great combo. Slightly spicy from the blackened seasoning. 5/5 Indoor & outdoor seating with heaters. What a little gem. No wonder this place was hoppin' on a Wednesday morning. It was packed by the time we left at 11:45am.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out Sunny on South for breakfast, and it was quite an experience. The ambiance of the place was bustling and crowded, which added to the lively atmosphere. What I really enjoyed was that they played early 2000s R&B music, which was a major plus for me as a millennial. The food at Sunny on South was absolutely delicious. I had the Green Chili omelette, and it was a hit! The flavors were on point, and it was cooked to perfection. However, I must admit that their prices are quite steep. For example, a regular cup of hot coffee costs $5, which I found a bit pricey. On the bright side, the service at Sunny on South was exceptional. The waitstaff was attentive and made sure to constantly check on us to ensure that our needs were met. They even made sure to refill our coffee without us having to ask. This level of attentiveness really added to our overall dining experience. Despite the slightly high prices, I would still recommend Sunny on South for breakfast. The delicious food, great service, and nostalgic ambiance make it a worthwhile visit. Just be prepared to splurge a little when it comes to the bill.

My boyfriend and I went here on Valentines Day and was very pleased with the food we ate The employees were also very nice and the place gave a very bright ambiance that provided a very aesthetic experience! They have an outdoor seating and seemed to be pet friendly Overall, if you are ever in the Cerritos area looking for a brunch spot with friends/family or a date, this is a must try location‼ Pictured are: Corned Beef Benedict (8/10) and Birria Omelette (8.5/10) Corned Beef Benedict was amazing! The egg was perfectly cooked to my liking and the hash brown gave a great balance of texture Birria Omelette was very tasty as well :) Came with hashbrowns and toasted bread. Also a must try if you're looking for a dish that will leave you full to your stomach

For the first time, i wouldn't come back knowing that the food isn't that good. The grits... TO MUCH GARLIC!!! The Jardín Omelette, not the greatest. The coffee was decent. The service was decent. The ambiance was okay.

Become our favorite regular spot. Most the menu items are great. The service is top notch and they've got great coffee.

We ordered the Chilaquiles, Corn beef Benedict, and the breakfast smash burger. The Chilaquiles were the delicious balance between flavor and spice. The hollandaise sauce on the Benedict was so buttery and the eggs were perfectly poached. The burger was tasty. The presentation and service was great. Over all, I recommend the food. The coffee was average. Great place for Sunday breakfast.
