Im sad this location is closed. The service was awesome. The folks there were always smiling & nice & extremely helpful if I was unsure on what to order. The food was really good. I enjoyed everytime i went to pick up my food. The ambiance was the mall food court experience. Im going to miss this place.

Worst service! Jeanelle could give out extra lemon. 2 per bag isnt enough for 1lb shrimp. I was sharing my meal & I had to tell her I needed more for me & my daughter with her attitude she gave me 3 bags 2 lemon per bag shared still wasnt enough. Mad eating my meal.

They don't have customers because when they do they are hiding in the back not wanting to attend . Waiting for the guy 12 minutes for him to just come out calmly drinking his soda & didn't want to help .

VERY DISAPPOINTING! Crab had NO Crab Flavor. Just very salty tasting. I was excited to see them in the mall. Thinking ok, a little Flavor is all I need to hold me over until I have time to go to the Regular Crab Spot! NOPE

I've had their food before and it was good at that time so I decided to get more. I'm so disappointed! I spent almost $200 and the shrimp were so overcooked that it was hard to peel the shells off. The meat of the shrimp was coming off with the shell. My family and I couldn't even enjoy the meal. The crab legs were ok but the flavor of the sauce wasn't even as expected. We had the seafood in the bag... For the place to have been a little busy at the time I would've expected the food to be better. I don't know if the shrimp were re cooked or overcooked but either way I felt like I wasted my money! We also ordered headless shrimp and received them with the head on. I surely hope I was not charged the extra fee for headless because the receipt only says "shrimp" doesn't indicate if it's headless or not. It costs more for headless shrimp! I'm PROBABLY not going back here again.

I brought a shrimp and fries meal from this place today the girl that took my order was awesome yet when I bit into my shrimp it had a spoiled smell to the shrimp. After returning back to the cashier who was absolutely helpful. I explained that the shrimp smelled spoiled and I would like to receive my money back for the shrimp and just keep my fries. Well, the lady cook in the back caught an attitude when the cashier went to the back to explain about the spoiled fried shrimp. The lady cooks automatically wasn’t trying to be helpful yet the male cook came from the back and try to help. I did not receive my money back and I had to take $15 worth of fries and corn because I was too scared to eat any other seafood from them.Please place your order with caution because they are selling, spoiled shrimp, and saying that the smell is coming from the batter either way it shouldn’t smell spilled. Please avoid from getting sick ? from this spot. They don’t care about their customers health. They only care about the customers money. IT WAS SPOILED FRIED SHRIMP.

The food does not match what is advertised in the pictures. I got the Fried Fish Tacos and the pieces of fish were super tiny. I returned it with no refund given. They only offered to fry another piece of fish! Do not waste your money!

Don't come here.. go to the real one. Shrimp is so dry.. they will charge you extra for the sauce.. flavor is bland. Disappointing.

I'm not gonna knock the kicking crab Xpress. I've enjoyed it from time to time... And I was actually pretty sad to see that it was closed during Covid times. I've been so excited to know it was back to the Cerritos mall and serving up that delicious Cajun goodness. Went to the mall a few days ago and ordered their shrimp platter special. The young man who prepared it was so nice and even made recommendations on a spicier sauce which turned out excellent. So good in fact, I went back upon completion of my meal and ordered an extra to go for my husband to dry. Imagine the shock over when I came home with an anemic plate of lackluster shrimp. Now mind you, I had checked out his plate and noticed a major visual difference while still at the mall, I took it back to the kiosk and told them that they had forgotten the sauce to which they apologize for and handed me back a "fixed" meal. It was nowhere near as good as the first plate and lacked seasoning severely. Forgivable. Not everyone has to have a heavy hand with seasoning and it was just a complement to the rice to have such a nice saucy dish. Cut to a few days later, today in fact. I took my husband to the mall so we could enjoy a shrimp platter together on a nice day out while the kids are at school. I ordered the same thing I have ordered at this point 3 times and received a shrimp platter this time with absolutely no sauce. We unfortunately had Take an hour meal home to enjoy it and were shocked to find essentially some boiled up shrimp and rice and a cooked piece of lemon. Really disappointing, this place is good but check your mail before you leave and make sure it's actually season. Waste of $16 and our time :(
