The service here is amazing! The food is good, not the best India food I have had but if I ever come back to Chatsworth I would stop by again.

This restaurant is so good and the staff is so kind. I always get the Saag Paneer and something else random from the menu and have never been disappointed. The chai is nice and spicy and you can get it with or without sugar. The garlic naan is perfectly chewy and fresh. Will be coming here for years!

I have no idea how this restaurant has good reviews. The flavors are disgusting. The food all tastes old- the samosas have been sitting for days if I had to guess. The kolhapuri veggie was inedible. The chicken in the butter masala is scraps of meat - if I had to guess leftover or old tandoori chicken. I took a few bites of my meal and threw it in the trash. What a waste

It is not often that I visit or get a carry out from Mother India, on Devonshire in Chatsworth. And every time I do so, I keep telling myself that I should go more often to this cozy, small and superb Indian restaurant. This time we got mutton keema (minced mutton with spices and peas, a spectacular dish) and masala dosa (also prepared very well). The keema came with a portion of rice. Since it was a carry out, the dosa was split into one container and the sambar and potatoes were in separated containers. This process softens the dosa itself, not a problem for me, because it eliminates the too much crispness that often accompanies this dish in restaurant dining. Both the potatoes and sambar were full of memorable flavor, texture and taste. What disappointed me was that they forgot to include the dosa coconut chutney in the carry out order. This being one of my favorites for this item, I called the restaurant after I got home. They sincerely apologized, Then, as it transpired, I was in the vicinity the next day and I stopped by the restaurant to pick up my coconut chutney (I still had left overs, at home). While the crew was different, they kindly obliged, with a profuse apology. As it turned out, the replace chutney in question, that they supplied now, was old and rancid. I had to throw it out. But they also had included a complimentary item, for the trouble caused. Three amazing samosas. That is what I call superior customer service. We all make mistakes. And that is why, I need to be going back.

This, this was the best Indian food I've ever had. Yes I know that sounds over the top. I could tell that whoever cooks in that kitchen cooks with love and devotion. Everything was made fresh. The spices were vibrant and the colors were beautiful. The place was well decorated and clean. Wait Staff was very nice and helpful. That was an incredible experience. I will be back!! I ordered the The chicken samosa(real pastry!)Coconut Curry and the mango lassi, rice and garlic nana.Yum!!!

Food was delicious and very well seasoned. The Hispanic waitress was very helpful and gave good recommendations. Had a very lovely conversation with the owner, she made me feel like a regular customer on my first visit! I will definitely go back. Must try.

If you like super spicy food, this place is for you. Ordered a few dishes for takeout, asked for not spicy and guy confirmed no spice. Got it home, was starving and I couldn't eat any of the dishes! ( apart from plain rice and naan) Mouth was on fire, was awful. Normally really love Indian food, full of flavor, and couldn't wait to have more after having the best Indian food ever in London, but this was just super HOT! Couldn't detect any flavor cause it was so spicy- don't get it- I called to tell them, the guy said they make to order which l just don't believe, or the chef just didn't understand? If I was at the restaurant, would have sent it back. No more take out Indian ever again.
My goodness. Mother India is open today, and I happened upon them while looking for donuts. I ordered all of the versions of samosas (chiken, lamb, veggie) and asked the chef, Mother, if she made idli sambar, a favorite dish from my youth. She said that it was not on the menus, and she had made some for someone and just happened to have some!!!! I added it to my order and can't wait to taste it!!! These first photos are of the samosas, eating some in my car. I have never had a flakier crust and such fragrant ingredients!!! I will update later with photos of the idli sambar.

My daughter likes Pav bhaji, so we were in the area and thought to give it a try (first time at this restaurant). We just ordered a single dish and took it home. Personally we didn't like the flavor and the pav bread was not the traditional one. It's like hot dog bread. I believe I can't decide on a single dish, probably visit next time.

I placed 13 individual orders and the entire process was great. The order was accurate and everything was labeled, such a time saver. Chose this restaurant at random and everyone enjoyed their meals, highly recommend. The owners were sweet and gracious, cannot recommend enough!
