We called for a reservation and got one within 30 min for a party of 4 on a Saturday night. This place was PACKED and super busy but we only had to wait a few min before our table was ready. This is a family style restaurant where you order and wntree and then they bring out soup, salad, bread, beans, potatoes and pasta for everyone to share. The noodles were probably the fav. We had chicken which was a little dry but it came with rice which was good. The ribeye was delish. It also comes with ice cream which was just perfect. The service was good except for a minor mixup when they didn't charge us correctly (they took the cash but also charged the card in full but we were a party of 4 spitting the check). That was cleared up pretty quickly tho. Drinks were good but I wish they had more variety. We will def be back at some point when we visit friends again in that area!

I always give this great, longtime restaurant 5 Stars because they've been around since I was a kid and the owners are so nice, even two of the waitresses have been there forever. The food menu is mostly always the same so you know what you are getting, it's the main course that you can order from which is some of the most delicious tasting meat cuts from beef, lamb and poultry. It was my wife and I's 50th wedding anniversary and what better and romantic place than Basque Norte to take her to, they even gave us a delicious slice of Ice Cream cake, compliments of the house.

A family favorite place to celebrate for many years a visiting Relative; now I'm a Chico resident and love this fine restaurant. I trust the excellent top taste basque style food, service and atmosphere. It enjoys a great wine list as well as a full bar. Bonus; Fairly priced.! Five star

Great local steakhouse, served family style w/sides. Got the porterhouse, full rack of ribs and breast of chicken. It was all very tasty, especially the steak and ribs. The chicken was good too, grilled, juicy. The sangria and sides were a hit. Great place to celebrate. Our waitress was really great, very attentive and experienced as she had run her own restaurant before. I will definitely be returning to Basque Norte in the near future

I have Ben to some fine dining ,ones that require full Suit and tie With jacket Full formal no price tags on menu and this place is way over rated the food was not that good for the price and was disappointed after eating due to no price on menu I was expecting way more from here than this for no price
