“It was our first night in Chico and everywhere was so busy! We called here and they explained it was a short wait, so we were gonna kill time at the bar; but we showed up and they instantly sat us! All of our drinks were fantastic. Our server was very friendly. Even the owner stopped by our table to say hi and ask us how all the food was. Of course, it was all really incredible. My veal was cooked perfectly. I felt a little underdressed, but the restaurant isn’t a super fancy place. You can still impress your partner with the atmosphere and the portions! I regret eating so much and not getting dessert. Maybe the next time I’m in town!“
“The food was pretty good in general. I ordered the sirloin steak with mashed potatoes, that meal was incredibly delicious. My boyfriend ordered the zucca pasta and he said he didn't completely like it, only because he doesn't have a fancy palette. But overall I really enjoyed what I got and would try another food item next time!“
“My favorite restaurant in Chico, hands down. The Gorgonzola salad is so good, I actually crave it! I've tried several pastas and lasagna and have never been disappointed. Gnocchi is delicious, but may not be on the menu - ask for it. The cocktails are incredibly good - all fresh ingredients. The best French 75's in town!“
“Wow has this place improved with time!! I visited pre-pandemic a few times, and it felt overpriced and a bit snobby. The servers seemed consistently aloof in my opinion, and the vibe felt somewhat exclusionary. Portions were small, and although the food was fine, I generally left feeling like the experience was lacking. A recent visit is changing my mind. I now find the staff pleasant, the food superb, and the wine list providing something for just about every palate. In particular, the newer staff seem lovely, and whoever is curating the music is killing it. It blended perfectly, with a combination of quality jazz standards (Dave Brubeck, Kenny Barron) and other instrumental choices. Finally, a restaurant in Chico that doesn't switch to 80's rock while you're in the middle of a meal (not that there's anything wrong with 80's rock; it's a matter of time and place). Lastly, it's so nice to be in a restaurant whose tables are full and yet the room is not skull-crushingly loud. Thank you, Grana, for thinking of everything!“
“Delicious, New York style pizza, in the heart of Chico. Service with a smile at any time day or night. Perfectly toasted pizzas, easily accessible, within walking distance of Chico State. A Chico classic!Vegetarian options: Pesto Pizza and other vegetarian options.Parking: Limited, public, parking.Kid-friendliness: Perfect for families and kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Access friendly“
“I always have an amazing experience at this location. Staff are always attentive, food is always good, and wait times are always fast. We usually go around noon and avoid the dinner crowd, so I can't speak to the business then, but the wait staff always work hard, and it shows!“
“Woodstock's feels like the quintessential neighborhood pizza parlor. We dined here this past weekend for lunch and both ordered the meal deal: salad, slice, & soda. Prices have sure gone up in recent years! We carried the slices directly from the counter to our table... no waiting. They were large, probably 1/6 of a large pie... the crust was pillowy soft, and even though I prefer it a bit thiner & crispier, it was tasty nonetheless. Salads arrived to our table after we were nearly done with our slices, which felt a little delayed considering they were lettuce + side of dressing. I prefer a salad as a starter, but our slices would have been cold had we waited. Overall, it was a pleasant lunch on the patio while we watched the bicycles flying by during the Chico Stage Race. I think my personal pizza tastes would draw me elsewhere, but I can certainly see this being a great patio for dining with friends when better weather arrives.“
“What can I say? Italian cottage, is Italian cottage. It's the bomb. I remember the sawdust on the floor so I guess I've been around for a long time and have been eating there for ever. Started out eating at the Italian cottage in Redding, California, back in the 80s. Great food. lasagna is by far my favorite.“
“I went here for fish bowls one night and had fun! The staff was kind, and the pizza from the window was delicious. Only issue is there is not a lot of seating so you have to have a reservation. I tried going for dinner one night, but the wait was an hour. I will definitely come here again!“
