Sushi was great but service was not amazing. I received a roll that had tobiko all over it even though I specifically said no tobiko on all rolls. They also forgot my Thai tea...they brought it to me at the end of my meal so i asked them to put it in a to-go cup and they kindly accommodated my request. They also do not have many high chairs available. Two in the entire restaurant.

Ordered multiple sushi rolls and miso soup. Really tasty and the rolls were a pretty good size. The ingredients (including the fish) were very fresh. Definitely coming back.

Its was a lovely dinner date, we usually order a lot so we dont mind the wait time, other entitled people were complaining but everything tasted amazing and I didn't feel rushed to order, definitely going again.

I'm really disappointed in this restaurant. It was Valentine's Day. We came in and ask the waitress. She said there's a 30 wait so I gave her my number. We went into the taproom next door. Waited a hour and no response. We went back into the restaurant and the waitress said they are booked for the night. I asked why didn't she text or call to let me know. At this point I ask to talk to the owners. Owners didn't know or acknowledge us. It's very confusing for me as I was taking my wife out for valentine. There was plenty of tables open and it was two hour before closing time. Not so sure if they was busy or not but how hard was it to serve a few bowl of pho. I'm very disappointed in this new restaurant for the way they treated my wife and I. Will nvr go there again

I wouldn't describe the food as anything more than "okay". My partner got the spider roll, and I got a version of the beef Pho. The spider roll was described as a tempura roll, but came with a little bit of fried "bits" sprinkled on top. It was definitely not tempura. It also had significantly more cucumber than expected, which is fine if that's what you like. And the portion was pretty small for the price. As for the beef pho, it was relatively bland. And the mix ins available were slim, only two sauces (sriracha and hoisin). The service was really good, our server was kind and took good care of us. No complaints with them. Likely won't be back though.

When you first walk in, I was greeted by not only the server but the chefs as well. The sashimi is the best Ive had in Chico. So fresh, so good. Drooling just thinking about them. The salmon just melts in your mouth. Normally I dont like Tuna sashimi much but here it was good. Almost like Japan. Hamachi was amazing, Octopus was tasty as well. Shrimp was eh, but thats just me.Their grilled pork is outstanding, great flavor tenderness. Sweet but not too sweet, savory asian barbeque flavor. The drinks we had was good as well. Mango smoothie was really good. But most of all the service here was amazing. Server is amazing. Will come again to try different things.

Went to Maki for Sushi last night with my daughter. First, the service was fantastic, the girls / ladies greeted us immediately and were very attentive. The Sushi was also very good, the fish was very tasty and overall very nice presentation. I would definitely go back again !! Would love to try some of the Vietnamese options next time.

My son and I have been going to new restaurants in the Chico area and rating them for more than two decades. We then go back to the restaurant which gets our best combined rating. This year that restaurant is Maki Japanese and Vietnamese.. In fact Maki has the second highest rating we've ever given a restaurant. We went back for our return visit a couple of days ago and it was great once again. The service was excellent, the atmosphere is warm and friendly and the food was amazing. This time my daughter-in-law and grandson went with us. She enjoyed her food immensely and my three year old grandson liked the tempura shrimp, teriyaki chicken and even the gyoza. Give Maki a try. I think you'll love it.

I've been here several times already and each time is always delicious! I love that it has the best of both world, pho and sushi. Especially because my husband loves sushi and bento boxes. But the winner is their pho. Broth is clear and flavorful. This is probably the best broth in Chico. Their boba tea drinks are excellent! I also love they have a "healthy dish" option to choose from. Food comes out hot and fresh. Service is prompt. I hope this place stays for a long time. Great establishment.

Fast service, great food, clean restaurant. Definitely a hidden gem here in Chico. We tried the sushi and the pho and both were great. We will be coming back whenever we're wanting sushi.

The people where are so friendly! From the moment I stepped in, they all greeted me with a ? Smile. Even the customers have a relationship with the employees as you can tell returning customers from new customers. They have one side of the room for dining and a bar section, then the other half with Christmas ⛄ decoration and seating too? for ordering coffee or ? teas?.I purchased the matcha smoothie, ? Thai milk tea and strawberry ?milk green tea. All drinks come in 1size and it was so convenient and thoughtful of the waitress to have them all placed in a cup holder! It wasn't too busy close to closing time, but there was a steady stream of customers entering to pick up orders.
