I enjoyed the bao and the ramen was decent. The prices are on the higher side given it's in downtown. I would go back again.

We love Momona! Finally made it to their new location and it's beautiful. Momona has the best food in Chico! We got the fried chicken, garlic shrimp, and bao buns. Everything was perfect!

Smoked tofu bao and mushroom bao were delicious. Spicy tofu ramen was so good. Nice location and great service.

They never refunded us for not eating the disgusting noodles. Scummy business. They will steal your money

I am not normally surprised with such dynamic flavor so this experience was a real pleasure. A highlight for me was their attention to their soft egg boil marinade which makes the yoke play sweet tones-- wonderful!

If you like cold tasteless food by all means try this place out. We waited 45 minutes just to get a menu. Front end manager seems non existent. They don't care about ther quality or customer needs. Employees are pleasent but appear overworked and undersupervised.

Service is great. Great unique dining experience. But the Ramen is super salty sorry

Love the food. New restaurant space is cute. I just wish they didn’t make the bathroom so visible to diners. It feels kind of gross to stare at high chairs, trash cans, and bathroom sinks while trying to eat. Maybe they can narrow the hall leading to the bathroom to obstruct some of the view and add a door?

I ate at Momona for the first time today and had such a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is homey and relaxed while the restaurant itself is clean and decorated beautifully. The food selection is unique but not overwhelming. The brussels sprouts are out of this galaxy entirely. And the tots? I'm not sure how they managed to make tater tots into a decent dish that I would willingly pay for, but they sure did. They decorated the tots with beautiful, flavorful seasonings and veggies. They were crispy and full of flavor. I did the Double Dip for my main course which is a pork dish, and it was cooked and presented perfectly. The staff was so kind, and happily made suggestions and answered our questions. I wish I had gotten the waitress's name to do a shout-out here (cool bat earrings, blonde hair, super stylish) because she was so friendly and helpful. Thank you for the lovely lunch! I'm excited to go back and try more dishes!

This place is okay, not great. I think my dining companion would give a lower rating. My double dip ramen didn't taste bad, but I'm sure that I prefer well-executed traditional ramen flavors more. My buddy had the Jiro. He said the bites on top were bland, towards the middle was spicy, and at the bottom was sweet flavors. Not what I would call executing the basics well on ramen. The bao that my buddy got was described as a few pieces of popcorn chicken on a piece of steamed bread for $8, no special flavors. I think this place is more popular with the dating crowd for the ambiance etc

Just had the most wonderful time at Momona. Stephanie, our bartender was attentive, friendly, and warm and made our experience absolutely lovely. The vibe in the new location is wonderful. And of course the food is amazing.

Momona is my favorite restaurant for their vegetarian bao and market vegetables dish. I've tried most of their vegetarian-friendly menu and it's all incredibly flavorful. My only complaint is that the food (besides the bao) is typically too salty. I can only get through half of my food before it becomes too much for me.
