Their food and atmosphere is very high end with prices to match, but a investment in the gift cards you can buy at Costco 20% off is yours to use anytime I was a big fan of the Sunday Brunch on their beautiful patio with local musicians, unfortunately I think Covid might have been a contributing factor to its discontinuation (I'm thinking staffing issues as with other local restaurants that either had to close or cut back hour, even though they were very popular prior to Covid) this still doesn't take away from all their other meal options of superbly creative food with a gourmet flavor profile! My servers have been extremely knowledgeable about the food served and its ingredients (I have major food allergies and a latex allergy so I need to know things like did the prep chef cut themselves and need to wear a finger cot, since as far as I know they still haven't made a Nitrile or vinyl one, I have had anaphylaxis from a salad the food prep cook at a different restaurant wore so I ask this of my servers to save my life and not all are as kind about getting this information as the servers at The Red Tavern have been and all know allergies possible cross contamination.

It was wonderful ! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We both had the filet mignon and did not regret our choice. I would like to return and try other entrees.

I'm so disappointed, I ordered the curbside pickup of beef stroganoff for 22$ and received homemade pasta, mushrooms, a few carrots and about 6 small ( less than an inch) pieces of "medallions of beef". The sauce was tasty but the lack of beef was ridiculous

It's a nice place I'd recommend making reservations. About $65/ person with drinks.

This place is the bomb when it comes to sandwiches and finger food's. Atmosphere is great, the service is great. What else can they say it's a great place to kick-it! Give it a try.

Great little restaurant in Chico. Prices are in line with the quality of food, so you definitely get what you paid for.

Finally made it to one of the top 5 restaurants in town according to the local foodies. Wish the locals had a little more class and had more in their wardrobe besides blue jeans.Moved here in July, and chose it for my birthday dinner. Could never have sat outside in Michigan this time of year. Unfortunately because of all the rain the mosquitoes were worse than a spring in the upper peninsula.Sydney was an excellent waiter.Appetizer was substantial and delicious, l recommend.Beat salad was unique, my late father would have loved.Scallop special was a must, should become a standard.Filet Oscar was larger than expected and perfectly cooked. Bernaise sauce tasted more like hollandaise. Lobster claw was dry, and Oscar is usually crab. Why smash asparagus into whipped potatoes to make a tower? Try laying them like a lean-to.Lava cake and Gelato that tastes like ice cream is to die for. Only noteworthy dessert item by far. Will be back.Parking: In back off the alley. Back door sticks

Hands down the best restaurant in chico for fine dining and unique food experiences. Come hungry the portions are sizable and delicious. I usually leave with leftovers. The party just keeps going.

First of all we had made our reservations for this restaurant for a birthday, told the person it would be 5 adults and 3 children when we called. Arrived to the restaurant and explained that the 2 adults and 1 child was not coming. Placed our order, ordered all the specials (French onion soup, scallops, and pork belly) along with shrimp and lobster spaghetti, charcuterie board, the fillet mignon, and 2 child pastas with red sauce when we placed our order also placed our drink orders as well. Took over 20 mins to get an ice tea, never brought bread to the table but the other tables received bread and butter. I asked if we could get bread to the table, after I had to ask then we got some, but the other tables got them as soon as they sat down. Ok now why the one star review!! The kids pasta mind you they are 1 1/2 & 4 years of age, arrived to the table. When I tell you the spice level was insane for Childs plates! The baby was crying from his young being on fire, and the older one was chewing ice chips and eating crackers to try to get rid of the burn from the spice heat! We told our server, she offered a replacement ( cheese burger) we said yes. Burger took over 45 mins only brought only one burger and at this point I was just over it kids where tired and hungry! Not only that the pork belly was an awful, that scallops where undercooked! The filet mignon and the lobster and shrimp pasta along with the bread and butter would be the ONLY thing I would recommend. So now the bill arrived the lady added her tip in the bill which normally I like but the service and food was so awful. They did not even remove the kids pastas from the bell that were an edible. They took literally two pasta bowls, the scallops and the pork belly from the table with just bites eaten out of them I did not expect them to remove the pork belly or the scallops from the bill but the kids pasta. I mean come on now who adds heat to children's pastas? Service was extremely slow, and was told multiple times give me a minute never was offered a refill had to ask. And Definitely not a child friendly restaurant. I frequent many steakhouses and have never experienced anything like this over $300. An awful service definitely would not be returning.!

I have a registered service dog & was given so much crap about bringing her through the restaurant to the back patio, I will never go back. They need to learn the law. Ignorant employees.

Nice but it needs a piano. They're not many places and she could go listen to piano music and it's always nice to listen to a good piano player so it would be nice if this restaurant had a piano and a piano player.
