I'm glad to see the Nut House is open, but Bay La Soul is the new highlight here. The food is worth the trip for dinner, even if you aren't planning on a tipple. I had a delicious fried chicken sandwich with fantastically spiced fries that everyone dipped into. My partner loved the tacos and we've decided to head back again. The previous taqueria was good for a snack when at the Nut House, but Bay La Soul is worth the trip.

The new kitchen is legit, especially loved the crawfish tacos, definitely recommend those. Also had the carne asada super burrito, shrimp ceviche tacos & deviled eggs, needless to say I walked away very full and happy. Nice pandemic-style outdoor seating setup with umbrellas and music and plenty of space between tables. Will be back soon.

This is our first time here and the food is amazing! We had the catfish tacos, cocktail de Camaron, carne asada burrito, and quesadillas. Chef Darius' even came out to check on us which made our visit extra special. The house made sauces really complement all the food. Great music and atmosphere, can't wait to come back and explore the menu more! Thank you!

This spot is definitely a local drinking hole with local vibes. The bar service is basic, but up to pub standard. The best thing going for the Nut House is the new chef/food - BAY LA SOUL by Chef Darius!! This addition to the kitchen was such a good idea... I will definitely being visiting more often now.

The food and vibe here is just perfect. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I've had the quesadilla tacos, catfish plate and catfish sandwich and each time was not disappointed. Well seasoned, fries are deliciously crispy. Staff is superb. One of my new fav spots!

Shout out to Chef Darius of Bay La Soul for making food the BOMB.com. We had to try the Mr. Meyer Burger and it was oozingly delicious with a tasty aioli. My favorite was the Tacotel- Coctel de Camarones, which was marinated in a sweet and savory tomato sauce. The shrimp were fresh and poached to perfection. Antonio's Nuthouse is one of the last standing Dive Bars in Palo Alto and nothing beats it's uniquely laidback ambiance. Swing by for some great food and drinks and support a one-of-a-kind local business!

I stopped by to pick up lunch today, and am now enjoying the quesadilla tacos at my desk. They are terrific, and I highly recommend that you try the food. I'm glad they're back up and operating now, and will go back for tacos! It would be nice if they'd post the menu to the website so that we could order ahead.

Rode our bikes to the Nut House last night for dinner (outside dining of course) - my husband had the burger and I had the black bean quesadilla tacos. The food was delicious and the vibe was typical Nut House chill. Super impressed that the tables and chairs were completely sanitized after every customer - thank you! Can't imagine Palo Alto without the Nut House.

If you want terrible customer service, come here. Although the goods and foods are excellent here, the service is so bad it's not even worth the headache. There could only be zero to one person in line, and you are guaranteed to wait a minimum of 30 minutes. I use to try to come here on my lunch break and it's just not worth it. I recently made an order over the phone as I'm always trying to support local small businesses, especially since all this Covid has happened, it felt as if it was a huge inconvenience. Honestly, they always make you feel like you are a huge inconvenience. It's really a shame, especially since like I said, the food is excellent. After my last experience, I'm done.

Classic dive that has survived the gentrification of the last 30 years. There used to be others in the area like Old Pro and NoName, which moved downtown and disappeared respectively. This place has a taqueria under the same roof, and offers a wide range of spirits and beer. It is often full of overly refreshed people - to the point that the bar staff sometimes have to act as bouncers. There are several pool tables and a gorilla serving peanuts. One feature in the last couple of years is the addition of a dedicated Bare Bottle (SF Brewery) rotating tap - they have been churning out a variety of hazy IPAs and Kettle sours - though this is usually the sole craft beer they have available.

Niche place. Sometimes help is stuffy, sometimes very friendly. A little bit pricey. Great for gift baskets or gifts (they'll make you one). Found a delish sammi here called The Bird. Coffee is good. Lots of wine, chocolate and of course, nuts. One time they got me some peanuts that were a shade too old, but usually nuts are great. They used to have musical entertainment at happy hour time, but not sure what will happen after lockdown. I like this place for uncomplicated lunch meetings.

Times are a changing and it looks like our watering hole is soon gonna be just a memory. No matter the Nuthouse had its run. The owners want to go in a different direction. Ohhhh wellll

The Mohawk guy is the best... Who made me them best long island iced tea I've ever had in my whole entire life. and I'm from Jersey shore and that says a lot about a Long Island iced tea. Plus the Jameson shots were like super large and it's also really cool
