Absolute shitshow. Took 2 hours to get sandwiches ordered at 11. Ended up getting every sandwich order wrong by a long shot. I will never go back to this place ever again. I want my money back but I don’t want to step foot in that place ever again.

It took a really long time to get out food, but this place is the best sandwich place in Chico. The homemade rolls are amazing!!

The food taste good, but $10 for a small sandwich was kind of embarrassing period for a sandwich shop, your sandwiches shouldn’t be smaller than a taco truck burrito

First time coming to this store. I order the food and they certainly did not put a rush on making it so I stood there for about 15 minutes which is not a problem. But when I got my food there was hardly any meat or cheese on it. There was literally 90% bread. I personally believe it's because I'm a white man and I look like a police officer. Although I'm not a police officer. Whether I'm right or wrong the factory mains that making a sandwich like that is extremely disrespectful and I will never waste my time going there again. Thank you for reading.

Pleasantly surprised to find the substation open again. I'm a little behind the curve I know lol.I ordered the calabrese and the hot pastrami for me and my wife and they were some of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. Also got the clam chowder and I couldn't be happier.Good quality sandwiches and fair prices. We will be returning again very soon.

Old location was awesome I understand times are changing but was very disappointed with new location wasn't even close to the same as the other place

The Rueben sandwich doesn't come with rye bread... and it was the most soggiest sandwich I ever had.

I used to go here at their old location when I was in college. The new location is more commercial. I do miss the more chico charm feel. However, sandwiches still on point and delicious! Was busy in there but they still got the food out quick! Great service. In the past every time I went in the owner (I think his name is mike?) was working. So kinda sad not to see him, but he deserves a break after all his hard work and commitment!

Long history in Chico. Apparently their landlord wasn't a sub guy or a team player tho. Hopefully they can figure out a new location and open back up eventually. I always enjoyed their pastrami when I was in the area. They'll definitely be missed.

I love their fresh, white sandwich rolls! The meatball is my favorite. I also like that they come up with new sandwiches all the time.
Everything!! I haven’t been here in over 30 years…nothing has changed..still as excellent now as they were 30+years ago!!

Foods great most days, the bread can be over cooked on a few. They seem to be trying so I hope they keep on keeping on.

The best pastrami money can buy! I used to love coming here for lunch. It was clear across town from my home but completely worth the trek. The venue itself is small and unsuspecting, but also very quaint with a small seating area. I always ordered my food to-go. In my opinion, the pastrami is the item that puts this little shop on the radar. It's positively loaded in a fresh, soft roll with just the right amount of toppings. I loved the diced pickles used, they were the perfect pairing and ensured that you got a bit in each bite. The menu is simple and I haven't ever veered away from my tried and true favorite. The shop is located on the south end of town in a mostly industrial area. It's most definitely worth it to drive out and try for yourself!
