15 years ago they were the best, especially at the Central/ Foothill location... I was a 3 time a week customer...today I'm back in the area so I hit the Riverside Ave location... not even close to the same quality... do yourself favor and try someplace..!

Food was great but service was bad. One of their servers/hostess, an older guy with glasses did not even say a single word to us when we asked for a box and desert. He nodded and then did not return to our table. We had to ask another server to help us. Then after paying the bill, he took our receipt and did not say anything to us. Very rude, and overall service was subpar. Did not even get checked on once while eating.
Joey's is an excellent place for ribs. The meat literally melts in your mouth. It's that good.

We heard about this place and all the awards it had received. The food was good for the type of BBQ that they offer. It is more along the lines of smoked vs having a lot of sauce on the meat. If a Smokey flavor is what you like then this is one of the best. The service was slow and the inside is very basic and noisy. Outside was quieter but only a few of the heaters were on. Parking is limited so be prepared.
